KITANA:
"Dragons." Briella said as we readied ourselves for bed that night in the Snow Kingdom. "Dragons dragons dragons dragons," she paused dramatically. "Remind me why I'm supposed to be surprised." I shook my head. "You heard them, dragons, full-blood dragons, haven't been seen for thousands of years." Briella stared at me. "I repeat, why?" Her head twitched. Her claws shot out as Sarah appeared in a swirl of ice and wind. "You have no sense of wonder, has Huntor truly eroded that out of you?" "More like the Rogue Armada. Which I'm still very much pissed about." Sarah snorted. "Chick you'll get over it." Briella snarled. "Where did you find it?" I asked.
"In truth, she found me." "She?" Asked Briella. "You can tell it's female, what, did you lift up the dragon's skirts to see?" Sarah rolled her eyes. "Isn't that a line from Jurassic Park?" I asked. "Maybe." Said Briella. "Either way, I can tell because I can hear her thoughts bitch." "Oy, she's the dog with the tail, not me." It was my turn to snarl. "Ok fine fine fine, I was only joking." There was a knock on the door, and I opened it with telekinesis. "Is there a party we weren't invited to?" Nyx and Darkness walked in, their eyes going straight for Briella and I. Nyx smiled, Darkness grinned with mischief. "No one invited you, go away." Said Briella. Darkness laughed and sat on her bed. "I think not girl." Briella snarled viciously. "If you don't get your dracon ass off my bed—"You'll do what?" Darkness asked. "Now now children." Nyx was definitely smiling.
I stared deep into Nyx's green eyes. Nothing, there was absolutely nothing of the girl who once was afraid, terrified of her own shadow. Nothing was left of the girl who was created to embody the Dark Queen. Nothing was left of the creature who was almost forced to die after only just being awoken. It made me wonder where Leia was, if Leia couldn't handle the storms within her after all. Couldn't handle that godly power. Then, I wondered even more, where another dracon was, one who we hadn't seen since before she died. Nyx stared back, her green eyes open and honest. Letting me make my judgment. Letting me assess her, come to the conclusions she must've known I'd come to. "I'm Nyx." She didn't speak the words, but I knew she thought them. "I'm Nyx, and that girl died, died, and will never be born again."
I nodded and turned to the conversation at hand. Or, lack there of, since Darkness was purposefully bating Briella, and Sarah was just snickering. "Back to the topic, dragons." I looked at Briella, who still looked unimpressed. Nyx stepped closer. "You still don't see it do you Lioness?" Briella shrugged. "Nerp, not really." "Fucking fecker." "Say what Sarah?" "Fucking fecker." Said Sarah, gesticulating to Briella. "I highly doubt Huntor would ever be so unenthused about something like this." Briella sighed dramatically. "What?" Said Briella. "So I'm not that impressed dragons have made an appearance. It was a little dragon, maybe cat sized, you can't think I'd be overwhelmed about that can you?" She waved a dismissive hand. "Does she ever think?" Darkness asked. "Excuse you." Snapped Briella, her eyes lashing bright gold. "If there are small dragons," I said patiently. "There are medium dragons, there are gigantic dragons. The point, as they're trying to adduce, is that dragons haven't been seen for millennia, why are they turning up now, are there only a few hundred, thousands, millions? Why, why, why, why, why?" "Ok," said Briella, her eyes filling now. "Now that makes more sense." "Finally."
"You know what Snow Goddess." "What?" Asked Sarah, her hand raised, snow weaving around it quietly. Briella snarled viciously but said nothing. Sarah's eyes glowed softly before settling. "These," said Nyx. "Are valid questions, because the dracons were made from the wars that crawled across the mainland, because the dragons and indigo fought. Because, with a combination of indigoism symbols, the dracons, were born. Why, are the dragons back, will they rise against us, will we rise against them, Is it the return of certain dracon clans that caused this, or the disappearance and return of the sun what caused it, or, is it the return of the Sun Dragon gods?"
"What if it is a bad omen?" My phone rang out and everyone looked at Nyx. "You just had to ask that." Said Briella. I pulled it out and saw it was Brooklyn calling. "Brooklyn." I answered. "Hey," he eyes looked distracted. "I have to go to Earth, apparently I'm needed, but I have something for you, and it's not a wedding gift." She closed her eyes, and, started, to, speak.
