Editor's note: All original characters and story plot details belong to the original author/creator Lily Dusk. This is a lemon fan-fiction and goes a bit of a different direction than the origin story. Also, a rather long fan-fiction, figured we would all need something to help carry us over between episode updates. Starting this off when Poppy leaves Tora with Quincy after dinner Episode 45.)

We ended up walking across the street to the Strawberry Café. A cute little establishment that just happened to open last Monday.

Poppy: "I don't know about you, but I am starving. We never really got to eat last night with everything."

Quincy: "I know, I was just so caught up in the situation I forgot to ask them to wrap up our meals. I don't know about you, but I think they have a plate of pancakes calling my name."

He let out a slight chuckle. A huge smile spreading across his face has he points to the breakfast section of the menu I am holding.

Quincy: "See right there. You can even get strawberry syrup and a side of cream. I think my life is complete."

Noticing how entranced he was with the menu, I let out a slight giggle. I'm glad that he is enjoying himself. Although if he continues drooling over the menu, we might have to ask the waitress for some napkins.

Poppy: "I think two orders of that should satisfy us. Then we can get on to the proposal. I am truly excited to bring you onto our team, and even more thrilled that you have agreed to work with me."

Quincy: "Me too!! I know Tora is reluctant to go along with it, but he just doesn't do well with change. I noticed in your presentation last night, that you wanted me to help an older gentleman fulfill his late wife's work?"

Poppy: "Oh yes. Mr. Lam's late wife was a huge fan of yours and wanted to correlate on a project she had been working on before she passed. He has offered a great partnership with the agency, has long has we agreed to help him fulfill this wish."

Quincy: "I know who he is. He has been harassing me for years to work on this project. How he found me I will never know."

Poppy: "We may never know, but I was thinking that although it was her project, we should be able to make it our own. Well, at least put our own creative licenses on it right."

I shrugged, a slight blush creeping into my already rosy cheeks.

Poppy: "Other than that, I want you to do what makes you comfortable, and be able to have full creative license. It's all about you. Would you still like to continue with this?"

I was scared to hear the answer. Mentally preparing myself for Quincy to turn my offer down, I sat patiently waiting. He looked has though he was about to speak when the waitress plopped a decent sized plate of strawberry pancakes with strawberry syrup down in front of him.

He hesitated for a minute, pulled out his phone and snapped a picture, before shoveling a bite full into his mouth. I thought he was about to explode, with the look of pure satisfaction written all over his face.

Quincy: "Poppy... Has long has we can come over here at least once a week for a meeting, I am so in. Annoying old man or not, I cannot get enough of these pancakes!"

Pulling out his phone again he starts typing out a message.

Quincy: "Sorry love, I don't mean to be rude, but Tora is going to be so jealous. I get to eat his favorite meal, with one of his favorite people."

Noticing my flushed face, realization just dawned on him. He had said more than he was supposed to.

Poppy: "I... I'm really one of his favorite people"

Quincy, not sure if he should delve further into the grave, he just dug for himself, or try to avoid the subject shrugged his shoulders.

Quincy: "Other than Gyu, and I, you are the only other person Tora chooses to spend time around, without being forced. So Yes, you are one of Tora's favorite people."

Poppy: "He was so cold and distant towards me last night."

Quincy: "He has the man flu, what did you expect. Nasty little thing. It renders any man utterly useless, until it has ran its course. Don't take it to heart love, he cares... in his own way."

Poppy: "I know"

I looked down at my half-eaten pancakes, suddenly weighed down with worry. I wonder how he is doing. Seeing my reaction Quincy gestures for me to look at him.

Quincy: "Why don't we finish up our brunch and sign the paperwork. Then I will give you his address and let you go and check up on him yourself. Besides, I highly doubt he has eaten anything all day. He could use the company."

Poppy: "That sounds like a plan".

Smiling, I worked on the rest of my pancakes. These are perfect, I wonder what Tora would think of them?

We walked back over to the office and finished up the paperwork. Quincy offered me a ride over to Tora's and made me stop at the grocery store. Now loaded down with lunch supplies for Tora, we made our way to his apartment.

Quincy waved goodbye, and I found myself yet again staring at another flight of stairs. I squared my shoulders and made my way up the stairs.

"Time to catch this tiger by the tail".
