The game starts off in Drake City. At the Royal Palace balcony, the entire city was enjoying their time at a Vesper and the Phantoms concert. The Mysticons, Arkayna, Zarya, Em and Piper, were obviously in the front row seats.
Vesper: Alright, Drake City, are you ready for my new album debut? (Crowd cheers and applauds)
Piper: (squeals in excitement) This concert is going to be FABTACULAR!
Zarya: (looks at her hair) Choko, are you fine in there? (Choko pops out of her hair and chirps)
The music starts playing and Vesper is about to sing when there is an unexpected power cut. All of a sudden, four spotlights shine on the Mysticons and what appears to be Tazma and Necrafa simultaneously laughing invades the speakers.
Voice: (evil laughter) You think you may have won the battle, but you have only lost the war. You thought it was all over, but it has only just begun. Prepare yourself, Drake City, for the resurrection of the realm's doom! (Evil chuckle)
The chuckling died down as everything seemed to go back to normal. The entire city stood in sullen silence.
Vesper: This is not a drill, everyone! Evacuate the building at once! Now!
The crowd start running away, leaving the Mysticons very shocked and confused.
Zarya: So...that just happened.
Em: By the Hammer of Harmon, what are we going to do?
Arkayna: I... I don't know. But maybe the Astromancers do.
Piper: What are we waiting for?! I'm scared out of my skin!
Piper runs off to her griffin, Ms Paisley. She jumps into the air and quickly transforms into her Mysticon Striker form before landing on Ms Paisley. Arkayna, Zarya and Em did the same as Piper, and the girls flew off to the Astromancers Academy.
