Shinso POV
"I miss you, Midoriya. Wherever you are now, I hope your safe. I have nightmares about where you went. Please, come back. I miss you, y'know. Everyone's quiet now. We need you back. I know you aren't going to see this, but I hope you do. I call your phone everyday, just to hear your voicemail. Because it has your voice. I found your YouTube channel yesterday! Your subscribers are worried about you too. They need you. Your brothers are kinda all over the place, and I understand why. We know it was Kaminari, and he's been arrested. It's safe now. Wherever you are, please come back. I've gotta go now, but I know you're still out there. Bye, Izuku Midoriya..." I talked into my phone with tears threatening to break the barrier. I let them out.
Midoriya POV
I walked along the edge of the flowers, my arms dripping bloodily. I sang with a hint of happiness in my voice.
Flowers grew where blood once flew
Roses and violets
Blossoming at dawn
To the sound of the song
Snaking around life once lost
Making it anew...
Flowers grew where blood once flew
Daisies and cosmos
Bring us up from our lows
Taking the dead
Turning us to living
Blood blossoming
Blood blossoming
Blood blossoming
Taking what was lost
Making it into a new work
For those who rise again
I remember writing that song years ago. When my sister was still around. She had nightmares every night, and I had insomnia, so I played songs for her every night. I practiced after classes, and performed at night. If I ever go back, I'll pick up my guitar again. Even if I cry through every song, I'll play her favorites. Just to remember. Flowers bloom around me, my blood running down my arms. I was used to the pain. I had made this field of flowers, and I was going to expand it. I had honestly fallen in love with the pain, but Shinso was still better than it.
A voice yelled, "WHERE ARE THESE FLOWERS COMING FROM?!" "Mirio, I have no idea. They just keep growing. They've been here for years, but somehow the grow in the winter." I recognized them instantly. I ran, but vines wrapped around my leg. I tried to pull it out of the vine's grasp. It wrapped up my leg, and around my chest, completely surrounding me. It stabbed into my arms, thorns poking more little holes in my body. I tried to scream, but the vine surrounded my mouth. Tears began to fall, as Mirio and Touya came running over the hill, having heard something. They saw me, and ran down, but the vines pulled me back, and I resisted. It pulled harder, and I lost my footing. Blood dripped off my arms and legs. Tears mixed with the blood, running down my face and neck. I pulled against the vines, just as Mirio and Touya were stopped by the vines as they rose up in front of them, with spikes on the ends. Spikes laced with poison. I cried harder as I tried to yell. I couldn't do anything. The vines tightened around me, pulling me farther from any hope I had of survival. They yelled, "We'll come back, Izuku! We'll bring help!!" as they retreated.
(1 hour later)
Mirio POV
We all ran in our hero costumes, or in Touya's case, villain costume, to the site where we found Izuku. We saw a wall of flowers. All blood red, and when the wind blew, it looked like a battle field. We slowly approached the edge of the plants, and vines shot up. "Let them through," a monotone voice called out. "They won't hurt us..." A person approached, but we quickly saw it wasn't Izuku. It was a literal plant person. They said, "What is your business here?" Everyone awkwardly shifted, trying to figure out what to say. I pushed my way to the front of the crowd and answered, "My brother's in there. We need to save him. Out of our way, now."
Vines rose again, and the person growled, "Kill him." Steps echoed. Izuku appeared, his eyes dull and dark. His arms were dripping bloodily, vines wrapped around him, blocking his mouth. He raised an arm as the vines shot forward. They stopped inches from us. "I said, KILL THEM!!" the person screamed. The vines recoiled, and wrapped around them. "NO!! THEM!!" "your end is now..." Izuku called quietly. The vines tightened around both of them. He turned around as the person screamed. "I'm not letting you take control again. You aren't the dominant one anymore." "BUT YOU'RE A BOTTOM!?!?" "Shut. Up." The vines nearly strangled the plant person. Soon, they had disappeared into the flowers. The vines pulling away, and letting Izuku stand on his own.
