A/N: I dedicate this one shot to aristotle1989, deckerstarfanz, desertrcses, Fatema73 and hiraibrar. They always inspire me to write more and more and to write even better. Thanks for being there with me always.
There was a time, not long ago when Zubiya Asfandyar Ali couldn't even imagine that flowers would bloom in the trellis of her life, she couldn't even believe that it would glow like particles of light after long dark imminent memories, like the stunning Aurora Borealis! She could not dream of a life where she would laugh freely and that she would meet her soulmate who won't judge her and fill her life with "Roshan Din Aur Jagmag Raatein"!
But here he was, Asfandyar Ali Khan, her mizaji-khuda, her humdum, her best friend and also her Hitler, her Changez Khan, whose mere presence leaves Zubiya so alive, vibrant and euphoric that even an entire galaxy condensed in a single point won't be enough to describe it and neither the ink of all seven oceans would be sufficient to paint a word picture of that magical bliss!
Zubiya's life with Asfandyar had been a pallette of oil colour. The shimmering lucent violets, purple lakes and renaissance golds, mauves and mid-night blues, winsor emareld and viridian greens, shades of cadmium yellow, flamingo pinks and every possible colour which her Asfand had brought in her life, so willingly, so lovingly, so effortlessly...
Staring at the beautiful scenery outside she felt all the colours and warmth of kaleidoscopic sky steep right into her soul along with the first rays of the rising sun and she got drifted away into the thoughts of her husband and how he had weaved a tapestry out of the jagged edges of her life.
So lost she was in her thoughts that she didn't notice that her husband was fully awake and was infact standing just behind her, gazing at her lovingly, worshipping her lithe figure almost.
"Bara muskuraya ja raha hai aaj subah subah?" Asfandyar's deep rich voice startled her out of the reverie.
"Haan yunhi bas..." she replied with a shy smile facing him.
Encircling his arms around Zubiya's waist gently, Asfand asked in a light hearted tone, "Pata toh chale akhir woh kaunsa chutkula hai jiss pe itna accha mood ho raha hai aaj Begum Sahiba ka."
Zubiya simply laughed at his comment and snuggled deeper into her husband's chest, savouring the moment.
"Batao na!?" He probbed some more and she blurted out, "Aapke bare mein..."
This intrigued Asfand, but he replied mischievously, "Aachhhaaaa toh kahin yeh toh nahi soch rahi ki aur kitne naak lagaye jaye mere naam ke saath?"
He so enjoys it when rose stains his Zu's cheeks and she gets flustered like this...
"Nahi toh main toh soch rahi thi-"
"- Ki I love you, Darling?"
This time she rolled her eyes, "Aur kitni dafa bataun woh ek galti thi?"
"Ooooh toh tum mujhse pyaar nahi karti?" He said feigning hurt.
This earned him a glare from his wife who mumbled out a quite 'I Love You' followed by some more teasing of course from his side and blushing from her and then Zubiya shared her thoughts with her husband, whose reply once again made her eyes brim with tears of joy and gratefulness. As together they saw the sky change colours some more and the recently emerged sun, her head on his chest and his hands protectively wrapped around her body, Zubiya couldn't help but thank God for his marvellous plannings.
And this is how a morning of Sunday panned out for the newly weds. Truly Gumaan Ke Baad... Yakeen Ka Safar nikalta hai.
