The Monster

~Anthony's Pov~
After school Ian and I went to his house to "study" but we just ended up playing video games and eating junk food till sundown. Ian asked his mom if I could stay over for the night. When she said yes, I stayed without protest. We watched movies for another two hours. I glanced out Ian's window and saw the clouds move away from the glowing full moon.
"Oh no," I thought. "he's going to see me, I thought things were going great too!" I quickly rose up from Ian's bed. He looked at me in confusion. "What's wrong Anthony?" His angelic voice asked me.
"Um," I said. "I've got to go."
Ian pouted. "Why? Why can't you stay?"
"I just have to okay?!" I said. "Let let me go!"
"No Anthony!" Ian pleaded. "Stay!"
"I SAID NO IAN! I HAVE TO PROTECT YOU!"
"From what?" Ian said putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Get. Off. Ian please."
"No, Anthony. I'm not leaving you."
"I SAID GET OFF!" I shoved Ian's hand off of my shoulder and started to growl under my breath. I didn't realize that the full moonlight was hitting me completely, making my demon come through without me feeling it. Ian gasped and backed away from me "Ian I-"
"Anthony stop." Ian said terrified. "Your eyes."
I slowly turned to Ian's mirror. At night, in the mortal world I change into my demonic form, and that meant all of it, including my fangs. In some special cases, some demons inherent blood of a 'creature of the night' and me being the prince of the Underworld, I am part vampire. I took a deep breath and looked at myself. My eyes had turned red and my skin paled. I turned back to Ian. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "This isn't good." I thought.

Blood. That is the only thing I could smell. Ian's blood, and I wanted it. There was no one that could stop me.
I mentally slapped myself. The monster is taking over. I took another deep breath, Ian's blood was all I could smell I was sure that I couldn't smell fresh air anymore, well as fresh as Ian's bedroom could get. The monster took over. I couldn't stop him this time.
