"Ugh.." My head feels like it's being hammered right now and I can't even open my eyes– well, I actually can but I don't want to.
I rolled onto the bed until I am lying down flat on my stomach, holding my head while groaning. "Lisa, you idiot! Why did you even drink huh? You're an idiot, idiot, idiot!"
"You're heart broken, sad, and is moving on so it's understandable that you got drunk." A soft, sweet voice reached my ears and in an instant, I snapped my eyes open and sat up to see the owner of the voice.
"Oh. My. Go–" She giggled at my reaction while I simply stared at her with my eyes and mouth wide open.
"H-how?!"
"You drunk called my sick sister and so I had to fetch you myself." She placed the small table with porridge in it beside me. "I figured you'll have a hungover considering how drunk you got last night. I prepared medicine for your headache too so just take it after you finish the porridge." I simply stared at her while listening to her. I am extremely embarrassed about it that I had to pull my knees up my chest and cover my face.
"L-look I.. it's really not my intention to– argh. I'm really sorry for the bother, Irene!" I repeatedly apologized and even bowing only to feel my head throb in pain once again. "O-oww!"
Irene sighed deeply and placed her hands on both sides of my shoulders making me stiffen in my place. I swallowed hard as I didn't know what should I do. Her touch.. is electrifying.
"Lisa, stop. Calm down will you? It's all good. I don't mind it. Now just eat this then freshen up, I need to go back home since I have to prepare for work.." Irene looked hesitant for a moment before she met my gaze. "Will you be fine?"
At that moment, I just felt like she's not asking about my hungover.. she's talking about something deeper than that.
She really do know huh?
I flashed her an assuring smile and even gave her two thumbs up. "Of course! This is nothing a Lisa like me can't handle!" I breathed in slowly. "I'll be fine, Irene.. t-thanks for this again."
She doesn't seem convinced since she went over to me and soothed her digits over my messy hair, patting my head later on with a soft smile. "You moving on is already a start, Lisa. You're finally letting go of that something that's been bothering you and that's good. It seems hard right now and impossible but trust the process okay? You will heal."
I felt my eyes go water before I pulled Irene in my arms. I held her tightly and securely. She hugged me back and circled her arms over mine. We stayed like that for a good moment and with just that simple hug, I felt better.
Almost to the point that I am beginning to think that maybe.. maybe she heals me.
"Thank you, Irene.. really. Uhm.." My cheeks reddened now and I felt shy all of a sudden as I release Irene from my arms. I couldn't look at her but when she was pulling away as well, I did notice the slight reddening of her cheeks.
"No problem, Lisa.. I'll go ahead now.." She hurriedly left my place and before I know it, she's already gone. Slowly, my lips pulled up into a smile.
I began to eat the porridge that Irene made me and at the first taste, my eyes widened in surprise. It tastes amazing! I felt my head throb again but it's not as bad as earlier. I finished the magical porridge Irene made me before taking the pills that Irene prepared.
"She's the best huh?" I uttered out to myself. I am now lying down my bed and simply resting. I can't get my mind off Irene. I simply keep thinking about her. If it's any other person, I would think that she wouldn't wanna take care of me but with Irene, I felt it. I felt her kindness and how willing she is to help me.
