After a week of being ignored Mark decided enough was enough. He had called and texted Kris a lot of times but there was no response. He grabbed his keys and drove to Kris home. When he was parked at the driveway he texted Kris he was on his way up. As soon as Kris got the text he sprinted to his closet and dressed in whatever he could find. He snatched his keys and phone and rushed to his bedroom window. He opened the window and looked down weighing his options. It was either he jumped or he faced Mark because he knew Mark would open the door with the spare key he had and he couldnt get mad because when had he ever gotten mad at Mark for barging in uninvited and vice versa. Hiding wasn't even an option. Kris heard a knock on his front door and looked out the window once more thinking about the consequences if he should fall. It was about 10ft down. But then he heard the front door opening he climbed out the window and jumped.

Mark used the spare to open the door. He knew Kris was home because his car was still at the driveway. Kris never went anywhere without his car. He walked straight to the bedroom, no Kris. He looked around the huge apartment, still no Kris. Mark went back to the bedroom to sit on the king sized bed. He checked his phone to see Kris has read his text then he dialed Kris number but no response. He sighed as he brought Kris pillow to his nose, inhaling Kris scent. Kris always smelt so nice. He had been thinking about him a lot this past week, he had missed his bestfriend. He had missed Kris. Mark noticed the widow was open and walked over to shut it but spotted Kris limping to his car. He looked like he was in pain. He closed the window and rushed out the apartment to help Kris.

'Shit' Kris cursed as he spotted Mark rushing towards him. As much as he appreciates seeing Mark right now he didn't want to face him just yet. He leaned on his car trying to stand up straight. "Kris what happened?" Mark asked helping him to stand properly. "Um I sorta fell out my window?" Kris groaned avoiding Mark gaze. "You fell out your window!?" Mark asked with wide eyes. Kris only nodded in response still in slight pain. "How did you fall out your window?" Mark asked noticing the phone and keys in Kris hand. He moved them towards his own car. "Uh no, i don't need to go to the hospital it's not that bad, I can walk" Kris said removing Mark's arms from him. He hissed and started to walk slowly towards his apartment, Mark followed closely behind.

Kris sank on the edge of his comfy couch observing his foot, it wasn't dislocated or anything, just a slight pain from the jump. His attempt to escape was an epic fail. Mark brought a glass of water and a painkiller for Kris but he only eyed the drug. He thought he had abused it the previous week. He only took the glass of water and took a sip. Mark placed the medication on the center table and sat on the other end of the couch staring at floor. "How did you fall out your window Kris?" "I lost balance" Mark could hear the lie in his voice. "you lost balance? you read my text Kris, were you trying to run away from me?" Mark questioned now looking at Kris. He thought Kris looked so attractive right now with messy hair and those work out clothes.

"I said I fell, wasn't running away from you" Kris replied, eyes still on his foot. "Then why have you been avoiding me?" "Not avoiding you, been busy" Kris replied and Mark wasn't buying that. "Kris.." Mark scooted closer to Kris. "Instead of running away from this can we just talk about it instead?" Kris stood up from the couch "I don't wanna" he replied an irritated look on his face as he walked to his bedroom, Mark followed. "Fuck, Kris lets talk about it, I miss you". Kris turned around and looked at Mark in the eyes for the first time that day. He could see the sadness on Mark's face and his chest tightened, he felt guilty. He had been avoiding Mark like he wasn't his bestfriend. He sighed "okay let's talk" he said as he sat on his bed.
