Joining Team Reddington(STILL IN PROGRESS)

Peace Overruled

Over the next few weeks, all was quiet. Reddington, the crew, and I worked on numerous cases, but that all changed one day when I was on a lunch break and he called. "Red? What's going on?" I said. "One of Schulyer's men is right behind you." He replied. I looked around, pulled my pistol out and held it in front of me, and told him, "I've got him in my sight. You got a name?" "Fred Denver. He worked with Ian." Reddington replied. He hung up and I put my phone back in my pocket. "Fred Denver?! What the hell do you want from me?" I yelled. He stepped closer and I held my pistol to his head. As we debated, I looked around and saw Reddington standing across the street. Fred struck me in the face with his fist and my pistol went off, striking him in the chest and ricocheting through my shoulder. I yelled in pain and held my shoulder. "Reddington!" I yelled, looking around. "I'm right here, kid. Help is on the way." He said. I knew I was losing blood fast, so I looked at him and said, "Give me your tie." He nodded, took his tie off, and gave it to me, I held it against my shoulder, putting pressure on the wound. I gritted my teeth and gasped. "They're almost here." He assured me. I nodded, trying not to pass out from the pain. A minute later, a van pulled up and Reddington helped me into it, still holding the tie against my shoulder.

Waves of pain and going in and out of consciousness...I woke up just in time to experience a sharp, shooting pain going through my shoulder to my fingers. I gritted my teeth and screamed at the top of my lungs. I gasped and looked around the room, Reddington and Dembe were standing by my side. "T-tell me..is Fred Denver still alive?" I gasped out. "Yes, but he is in protective custody." Dembe replied. I nodded. The rest of the day, I just slept.
