OK IM LOWKEY FREAKIN OUT RN. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS TO GO THE WAY IT DID LMAO
ok for all of you that dont know, before we started dating me and liam were best friends. our families were also rlly close bcs liams dad and my dad were best friends since childhood and his mum and my mum are also best friends too which is why me and him get along so well. plus we're always over at each others houses and stuff. his parents are basically my second parents and vice versa
anyways my mums rlly strict with boys and that and the only boy she trusts for me to be around is liam only bcs our families are close and she thinks me and liam are just best friends
well when we started dating we both knew that my parents would not approve at all and we would have to keep it a secret. but liam told me that if we do ever tell my parents then he knows fully that his mum and dad would be happy bcs they like me and think im a good influence on him which is nice :)
anyways so what happened is that we were over at liams house bcs we were helping them with oacking and getting ready for the big move and all that. and me and him just stay in a different room to the adults bcs obvi we cant talk to each toher the way we normally do around them bcs its all a secret.
well we were in the hallway right and sheshe basically caught me and liam mid-kiss and we just stood there in awkwardness not knowing what to do. she just stood there with a shocked expression which stressed us both out bcs we didnt know what her reaction would be. but eventually she says to us "you guys have a whole lot of explaining to do" and she just left bcs liams baby bro was crying.
anyways for the next hour or so it was SUPER tense. she didnt talk to use after that and like i was stressing out womdering if she had told my mum and liam was tryna calm me down and all that. well once they were done w the packing for the day, we sat down and ate dinner and liams mum keot giving us little side glances while everyone was talking. so after we cleared up she said she was gna go for get mcflurries (its like a thing dont ask lmao). and then she said to me and liam "why dont u guys come for a drive. itll be fun" and then she gave us that look that adults give children when they want them to do something. so obviously we had to go on a car ride with her and i was sweating with nervouseness at this poont y'all dont udnerstand
so me and liam sat at the back seats right and she drove off and we just sat in silence for like the first few mins until she turns around at the red light and says "so whats been happening between you two then?" and she gave us this weird smile and i was high key confused at this point bcs i thought she was mad at us.
liam knew i was nervous so he says "well mum, me and malaika have been dating for a while now" and she was like "yess i knew it. when did you start dating?" and liams goes "the 14th july" (which is super cute that he remembered cus most boys dont awww) ok i gota stop getting carried away. so she looked at us and said "so thats why u guys have been spending so much time together lately. but how come you didnt tell us?" and liams said "well you kno malaikas mum doesnt exactly approve does she." and liams mum was like "ohhhhh i see yes yes"
and then she says "well you guys gotta work on the secret part bcs its kinda obvious that you guys are dating" and liams like "what nooo" and his mum says "yeah you guys totally dont sneak off everytime youre together" and liams just like oh good point
so she turns to me and says "so malaika what about you. does my som treat you right?" and im there going bright red saying yes yes hes amazing dont worry. and then i say soooo are you going to tell my mum?
AND THIS IS WHEN SHE SAYS NO AND MY JAW JUST FREAKIN DROPPED BCS ALL THIS TIME I THOUGHT SHE WOULD TELL HER AND I WAS FULL ON HAVING PANIC ATTACKS BUT ANYWAYS
so she says no amd me and liam are like what why. and she said "well lets be honest if malaikas mum finds out then shes probs not gna let you guys to stay together is she? and you guys are really happy with each other and liams like deeply in love with you and trust me i know bcs im his mum. i dont want to split you guys up if you make each other happy" so liam n i was like phew thank you thank you. BUT THEN SHE SAYS "but if you guys are going to kiss have some patience till you get into a different room because the hallway isnt exactly a private space. AND dont do anything naughty"
and at this point me and liam were both tomatoes now and shes like "dont worryyy this is our secret okay"
well in the end we did get mcflurries and me and her are going shopping tomorrow and she wants to know everything about how liam treats me and all that. but we went back home and she was true to her word and didnt say anything.
but honestly i love liams mum shes a mf queen. im just happy that my mum didnt find out or id be dead so im lucky for that.
