When apparently everything was said for the moment, the employee from before brought the food that she had cooked especially for him. Zhan's parents drank from small bottles. A bottle like the one Zhan emptied earlier.

Although Yibo felt sick from everything he learned and he couldn't really understand it, he ate everything the employee cooked for him.

After the meal, Zhan's mother declared: "It will be better for now, you stay here. At least until your transformation into a pure vampire is complete. It would be too dangerous for you to be alone when it starts. You can move into your old room from you and Zhan. And once your transformation is complete, you can decide how to continue."

Yibo was completely overwhelmed by all this and didn't know what to say. He hadn't even realized for himself that he was one of them, or at least would become one of them.

And all this with the mate, he also had not yet understood. He chose Zhan as a mate and even marked him? And Zhan then had to take care of him? And what about the fact that Zhan did not want to complete the ritual? Didn't he want Yibo? Don't two mates always feel the same? Had Yibo forced him?

Just the idea that Zhan didn't want him as a mate made Yibo sad. He didn't know what to think about it. Did Zhan really love him? Or did this whole mate thing force him to?

When Yibo opened his eyes again, he found himself in the arms of Zhan. They were lying in a bed. When Yibo looked around, he recognized the room. It was the one he saw in his dream. His and Zhan's room.

Yibo sat up and his head still spun a little. Zhan asked him how he was feeling and if he had any questions, but all Yibo wanted to do was to go home. Suddenly, he felt a rage inside him as the conversation came back to his mind. Everyone lied to him! His family and also Zhan! Zhan cannot really love him, because Yibo forced him to do so by making him into his mate. "I want to go home." Yibo finally said.

"The sun has just risen Yibo. And my mom said..."

"I don't care if the sun just came up and what your mom said. I want to go home and I want to go home now. I can drive myself, give me a car and I'll drive home alone." Yibo said angrily.

Zhan put his arms around him to calm him down, but that only made Yibo more angry and he yelled, "Don't touch me. Let me go home! If necessary, I will run."

"Nothing, I just don't want to do all this. I want to go back home. Back to my normal life. I don't want any of this. I don't need it. I reject it."

"Yibo, please calm down and tell me what's going on."

How could an 8-month-old baby know that? How could you end the ritual, when you must have known that? Just because my father wanted it? I do not want this! I don't want you. I want to go home and never see you again."

Yibo knew he had wronged Zhan, but he was so angry that the words just came out of him. He had to let his anger out. And he was not willing to listen anymore.

"Please Yibo, don't say this OK? You don't mean that. I know this is all a shock to you. But please, don't say you don't want to be my mate."

"I don't want to be your mate. Until a few days ago, I didn't even know your name. I can't remember my childhood. So don't ask me to be yours now."
