It has been three weeks since Yibo moved into the country house with Zhan and his family. In the first two days, Yibo struggled a little. Without his memories, he did not know how to deal with Zhan's family.

Yibo's nutrition was also changed gradually. After seven days, Yibo drank only the mixed blood. Now after a total of three weeks, he only needs three bottles a day. And only sometimes, when he and Zhan are intimate, and suddenly hunger overcomes him, he bites Zhan and drinks from him. Mostly, however, he bites Zhan only because he likes it. Apparently, it is part of the vampire culture to bite each other when the lust has reached its peak.

With the change of his food, Yibo also quickly became healthier and much stronger. He feels an energy that he has never felt before. His body also began to change. His skin feels more and more like Zhan's, cold and soft at the same time. His hair grew faster and his hairstyle now looks like Zhan's. His senses are also sharpened. And this, although he has not yet been transformed.

But all these changes on Yibo also made him realize that the fever would soon break out. And thanks to Zhan and his family, the chances of surviving are more than good.

Three days ago, guests came to visit in the evening. The news spread quickly, that Zhan had found his mate and brought him home. And many wanted to come, greet and see Yibo. The last time they saw him, he had just turned four years old.

The big long table was filled with vampires who all came just to see Yibo. High vampires and even two of the six elders. Much to Yibo's displeasure, the Qin's, who have a very small clan compared to others, sat down right next to him and Zhan. And the daughter of the Qin's was immediately a thorn in Yibo's side.

She sat right next to Zhan and giggled every time he said something. Yibo thought that she was lucky to look so pretty, because in her mind, nothing seems to be going on. "What are you? A dog?" She asked in horror.

Yibo thought he was in trouble for biting her bloody. But instead, he got a round of applause. And Mr. Qin hit his daughter on the back of the head and said, "You're an idiot. A dog? It's his mate you touched, that reaction was perfectly normal. He is protecting what is his. Be glad he didn't rip your throat out."

One of the elders stood up and said, "Zhan, I congratulate you. You have found a really excellent mate. I am curious to see what he will be like after his transformation, when he already defends you like this. I think that could be very interesting."

Yibo didn't understand at all what was going on. So Zhan's father told him: "Your reaction had been completely normal. You did everything right. We protect what is ours. And Zhan is yours. After all, you have already proven this impressively as a baby. And if I remember correctly, you bit Emily once before as you were only 2 years old."

"That's right, he smashed his little fangs right into my forearm. I still have the scars today." Scolded Emily Qin.

"It's your own fault. Just keep your hands off Zhan." Replied Cheng, Zhan's younger brother.

The other elder laughed and said, "You can't see it by looking at him, but he is very strong and very dominant, and that already. I can feel his strong energy. Now Yibo understood what the elder meant and he admitted to himself that he wanted to kill Emily. And if she touched Zhan again. he will definitely kill her.

That morning when Yibo awoke, he felt misery. He turned to Zhan and woke him up. Zhan looked at him attentively for a moment, then nodded and said, "It's the fever. It's time."
