Woah hey there people. This took a while to get around to. I have been sick recently, so I was kinda just resting. I don't feel the best right now, but i'm good enough to be productive. I had like 200 words written here from then so im just working off that.

"I called you cutie.." henry mumbled, quickly diverting his attention to the bright, colourful screen which displayed the game.
Henry was clearly embarrassed, as well as Charles. That was the first day Henry made any form of gesture to Charles, such as calling him 'cute' or 'hot'. And to be honest, he regret the timing.
Charles was distracted from the game, instead staring down at his hand (which was still on the joystick), blushing a crimson red through his freckled cheeks (Idk why but I hc charles and ellie to have freckles). Any other time would have been better than when they were competing against one-another, stuck only inches away from the person they're playing. It was certainly going to be awkward, to say the least.
"You..think im cute?" Charles spoke up, his body remaining in the same frozen position. The only movement was his head, tilted to be looking at Henry.
"Yeah, I do.." Henry forced out an awkward sounding laugh, the kind of laugh which could clearly be deciphered whether its real or not.
"That's..new information." Charles fidgeted with the joystick, focused more on Henry than the ongoing game.
Henry pulled a face at his own stupidity. (This is where I ended lol idk what else to add.)
The game came to a close, the run time feeling a-lot longer than 5 minutes. The players ended up drawing each-other, as one was focused (for the sake of the story, henry.), and the other not so much.
Henry moved himself away from the machine in silence. He had no excuse to 'avoid' anything Charles would ask him.
The other boy opened his mouth to speak, but proceeded to close it seconds after, thinking about if what he wanted to say was the best thing to do.
Henry shoved his hands into his hoodie pocket. He had the choice to either leave Charles alone, or stay with him.
"Henry?" Henry turned his head to face Charles. He had an expression on his face that screamed 'what am I doing'?
"If this is about the me calling you cute thing-" Henry was half way through his sentence when he was interrupted.
"Well, yeah. But, I'll take the 'compliment'. Thank you." Charles air-quoted 'Compliment' as he was unsure whether to define 'cute' under that label or not.
He strolled past Henry, stopping when he became parallel to Henry's right ear.
"You're pretty cute yourself." Charles headed off after he remarked.
Henry's face flushed. He was not expecting a response like that.
He stood in place, his intent of walking away from the machine leaving his train of thought.
To think, Charles is the type of guy to 'compliment' someone back when they compliment him, but Henry didnt think that applied to him also. He thought it was only people who match up with the compliment (e.g: someone with nice hair is complimented about their hair)
"Henry?"
Henry noticed a smaller girl in his line of vision, with an easily recognisable hair colour of bright red. He looked down at her.
"You okay? You were kinda just standing there, red faced." Ellie questioned, cocking her head to one side.
"Oh! Uh, yeah." Henry brushed off the question with the simple answer. Ellie had some suspicions.
"Really?" Ellie grew a skeptical expression, "If I remember correctly, you and Charles were hanging out together. If you're in love with the guy you can just tell me."
Henry covered Ellies mouth with his palm. "Don't go screaming it to everyone, you dummy!" He semi-yelled, in a panicked state Charles would hear.
For the record, Charles was on the other side of the Arcade, talking to some girl he crossed paths with. Rather common occurrence, but not as common to spring into a conversation with them.
Ellie smirked, forcing Henry's hand away from her mouth. "I suspected as much. Dont worry, I won't tell him."
Henry sighed in relief, "Thank you, Ellie."
Her smirk morphed into a smile. "No problem."
Ellie scanned the arcade for Charles, noticing him talking to a girl Ellie had never met before.
"Word of advice, Charles created bonds pretty easily. I'd watch out for any potential competition. Y'know, incase he gets a little too close to one of them." Henry stared at Ellie with a serious expression. She looked up in confusion.
"You sound like you're implying murder." Henry blandly states. She covers her mouth, a mixture of both amused and shocked.
"I meant that you'll miss your chance if you don't time it right!" She chuckles. Henry forces a chuckle too.
"I understand that. Im just scared he will reject me, y'know? Isn't he straight?" Henry questions. He wasn't going to mention that he originally thought Ellie and Charles were dating. Then again, from what Ellie said, he was likely mistaken.
Ellies gentle chuckle faded. She looked in Charles' direction, then back at Henry.
"He's Bisexual." Ellie responded, "I thought you knew that."
"I didn't." Henry shrugged. How come Charles talked to Ellie about that but not him?
"Well, now you do." Ellie smiled brighter than she was previously.
"Thanks for the information Ellie."  He showed gratitude to the smaller girl.
"No problem!" She bounced, "I'll help you shoot your shot, don't worry!"
Henry smiled at how happy and enthusiastic Ellie was, like it was her job to get the two of them together.
"You don't need to go that far." Henry huffed, scratching the back of his neck. Ellie looked back at him, puffing her cheeks like a child.
"I want to though! You two would be so cute together!" Henry choked on air at that statement. Its not like she was wrong, she was just the first person to say that.
"We would?" Ellie chuckled as Henry's reddened.
"Yeah!"
