WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND?

Hyunjin and Chan had been hanging out with each other some time now. Always together, almost not separating from each other. Although Chan would still hear some guys say that the taller blonde is gay, he doesn't mind it at all. Why would it? It's just a gender, and a gender won't bite– well, at least not Hyunjin for as far as he can tell. And the younger already has a girlfriend. How would that make sense, right? People are just full of words to pull others down, and just to say who was with power and who doesn't have.

"Was it hard?" Chan asked, eating his biscuits while looking at Hyunjin.

It's recess, and PE is the next subject. Both of them has the same time and same instructor but they don't want that subject especially the teacher that was assigned for that period. It has been a week since Hyunjin and him had been ditching PE, and Chan can be honest that he loves ditching it. Even before with Pilsang– he never enjoyed PE.

"What was hard?" Hyunjin asked, confused by the question thrown at him.

"Oh, don't play dumb." Chan laughed, "The rumors that was going around about you?" He asked.

"Huh," Hyunjin just scoffed, looking away. "I don't like talking about that."

Chan pursed his lips and didn't asked anymore. Maybe he can just wait until Hyunjin can talk more comfortable already. He doesn't want to scare that guy– especially that he's the only guy that actually talked to him for weeks of going to this shitty university. He has to be really honest, he's getting pretty messed up already.

"How about you?" Hyunjin asks back, "Was it hard?" He threw a rock that he grabbed from the ground and watch it hit a tree not too far from them.

"Rumors or being alone?" Chan asked specifically. He's already used to those things so Chan can already answer the latter better.

"Hmm, both?" He said and the taller smiled at the students that walked by. "Why do they always smile at me?" He whispered to the older and they both laughed.

Chan doesn't know how to answer the first question. Was it hard? It wasn't that hard... but now that he thought about it, the day he left his hometown was the worst day of his life. There were rumors about him, he got bad anxiety, a weirdo came up to him and made him watch Jisung and Minho on the dance room– oh, not to mention that Changbin wants to be his friend. Why would that guy even want to be his friend? There was a lot going on, and he didn't even notice anything just until now that Hyunjin asked.

It was all bearable (if it wasn't, then Chan won't be stepping on the school grounds anymore), but he had to admit that the rumors were pretty bad. When Bambam spreads the rumor that Chan killed his best friend, it went madly uncontrollable and every students actually stayed away from him. Chan doesn't think that the Bambam guy was kind, especially with his spiked red and black hair. He looks like a chicken– and he doesn't look like he would do any good at anyone in particular. But he didn't expected to be this bad, though. He's basically ruining a person's life at this point.

"I want the rumors to stop but I don't think it would." Chan mumbled, "I'm lucky you and I became close or I'm really leaving this place. I hate it when everyone is talking about me." He said and was looking away to avoid any eye contact from the latter. He hates affections and emotions, he hates being weak in front of other people's eyes, and yet here he was.

"Well, I'm also glad I met you." The taller blonde said, "It was really hard since no one wants to be my friend here. They don't want me." Hyunjin sighed, biting the biscuits.
