Atsumu mindlessly tossed the volleyball in his hands a couple of times in the air, a small frown tugging on his face.
He had waited after class for Mayumi, even putting in the effort of losing the group of girls that had been tailing him so they wouldn't bother her, only to find that she was no where in sight.
Apparently, she had already left for a club meeting and his mood turned the slightest bit sour when he realized so.
"You look depressed."
A low, muffled voice interrupted the setter's thoughts, causing him to look up to see the masked face of a black-haired spiker.
"I do not!" Atsumu retorted with indignance before realization crossed over his face and his lips curved into a smirk. "Is Omi Omi concerned?" He teased, while Sakusa gave him a look of utter disgust.
"No, my sister is coming soon and I don't want you clinging on to her with all your," the ravenette furrowed his brows, "germs."
Atsumu suppressed a scoff, "girls jump on me, not the other way around." An image flashed in his head of Mayumi excitedly jumping to catch him in a hug, which never actually happened, and his face turned a light hue of pink.
Coughing, he turned away to hide the blush. "I won't jump on yer sister or whatever. In fact I probably won't even notice her," he declared firmly, setting his towel on the bench before hopping off with his volleyball in hand, "Om-."
Atsumu nearly bit his own tongue when his eyes glazed over the female figure entering the gym's double doors, the odd, warm feeling bubbling in his stomach once again.
His eyes lit up, and he waved the girl over. "Mayumi-chan, did ya come just to see me?" He asked with a wide grin, snaking an arm over her shoulders to pull her closer as soon as she was within reach.
He was especially touchy after being deprived of Mayumi for an entire day.
A brief look of confusion flashed over Mayumi's features as she glanced between the blond and her brother.
"Ahh," she breathed, rubbing her head lightly after she understood what was going on, "I was actually here for Kiyoo-nee but it's nice to see you too Miya-san."
"What?" Atsumu blinked, his lips drawing into a fine line as he tried to digest her sentence. "Kiyoo-nee? Yer Kiyoomi's sister?"
A glance at Sakusa gave him the confirmation that he needed; the spiker had a dark look on his face, eyeing Atsumu's arm that was still draped over his sister's shoulder.
