"We're not dating," Mayumi answered calmly, nudging Atsumu's arm with her own to get him to stop glaring a hole through the other's head.
He looked ready to rip off the guy's head.
But while Mayumi was growing uncomfortable with he tension, Atsumu continued escalating it, a sneer over his features as he tched at the other.
His tall stature had come in handy, allowing him to both figuratively, and literally, look down on the opposer.
"Yumi, I'm sorry. I really do love y-"
"Mayumi," she corrected, unconcerned as she handed him a few bills to cover the book costs but he persisted anyways, refusing to accept.
"It's on me. Please Mayumi, it was a mistake. I still love you, you have to - " the guy was cut off when his outstretched hand was smacked away harshly.
Though it wasn't Mayumi who had done so, it was Atsumu.
"Touch her and the next thing ya touch will be the floor," he glowered. Of course Mayumi had past relationships; someone of her caliber wouldn't stay single long, but Atsumu had only just realized so right then - and he didn't like it.
The thought of someone else getting to hold her hand, embrace her or hold her like how he had these past few weeks made his blood boil with an irrational anger.
This guy especially was rubbing him the wrong way, and whomever Atsumu didn't like, he made it known his disdain for them.
It was fairly obvious the guy wanted her back, but it was really too bad because Atsumu had already set eyes upon her, declaring that she was the one that he wanted most.
And Atsumu Miya gets what he wants.
She was his for the taking and he would protect what was his.
"It's fine Alan-san, just take-" Mayumi tried, hiding her exasperation behind a fake politeness.
"No no, I insist. You'll date me again if I pay for you won't you?"
Just before Atsumu could officially clock him, the girl latched onto the former's arm, holding him in place.
"I don't think you understand Alan-san," she sighed, finally giving up on retaining neutrality, releasing her hold on Atsumu to grasp Alan's hand instead.
A wide grin spread over the boy's face, thinking she would take him back; that was, until she pried his fingers off of hers to place a few bucks into his hand, "you were nothing more than a charity case."
