El smiled at Paul “We’ll give you some boy time. We’ll sit over here and chat girly stuff.” She said pulling us to the corner of the room.
“So how’d you meet the boys?” El asked. “Liam wasn’t really clear on that except that it entailed you feeding Harry.“
I laughed “Well, long story short I got out of the hospital earlier today, and my body isn’t agreeable with solid food quite yet so I couldn’t eat the burrito that was going to be my dinner so Aly gave it to the boys.” I explained propping my wheelchair up on my back wheels.
“Oh well that would explain it,” they laughed as we mostly talked about trivial things interests, favorite movies and bands the usual get to know each other stuff.
“So where did you guys grow up?” Dani asked us glancing at the clock. “Answer fast in a few minutes its gonna get loud if the girls are screamers” she laughed.
“Manchester” Aly said “I moved to London for high school.”
“Holmes Chapel” I said without thinking, I was already starting to get tired. Aly noticed mouthing ‘coffee’ I nodded.
“Same as Harry?” Eleanor asked as Aly walked off to get me the coffee.
“Yea, same schools too, I look a little different now though, I doubt he remembers me and I’d hate to bring it up, he'd only beat himself up for not remembering. I moved to London for medical stuff 2 years ago.”
“Medical stuff?” Dani asked “you don’t have to answer I’m just being nosey.”
I shook my head “Oh no its fine. I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and I moved here for treatment. That way I was closer to the hospital. I was finishing up a new treatment earlier today that hopefully will keep me in remission for longer than a month or two.” I said shrugging thanking Aly for the coffee.
The boys walked back over to us. “Hey we are gonna sit in the hall till all the other contestants are brought in as well.” Liam explained “We’ll see you guys in a few“ He finished giving both of us a hug and kiss on the cheek that we returned. They boys waked out to the hall Eleanor and Dani heading out as well smiling at us.
“I like them!” we heard El saying as the door closed.
“I need more coffee” I laughed Aly walking with me as I rolled over to the snack bar. The groups of girls walked in a few were around our age, and a few a little older, but most were younger. Aly and I waited next to Harry’s seat on the far end of the table up front. I smirked listening to the conversation next to us, I nudged Aly motioning for her to listen to the girls behind us.
“Oh my god Anna I’m so jealous you turned 14 before me!”
“I know!” the girl said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world “You know Harry said the youngest he’d date was 14.”
“I knew there was a reason I brought you! You know so much about the boys!” the other girl said. I felt bad for the girl she was being used by the other girl and she didn’t even know it. I turned around slightly to watch the girls.
“You have to if you want to know them like I do” the black haired girl said flipping her hair over he shoulder arrogantly her friend reminded me of a younger me, short, blonde and not the acceptable ‘skinny’ body type.
I turned to roll to the garbage. I tapped the blonde girls shoulders her darker blue eye looking at me meeting my own blue ones flecked with dark brown and green spots “You look a lot like Harry’s ex-girlfriend from Holmes Chapel.” I said smiling.
“What she looks nothing like Felicity!” the other girl snapped.
I laughed “Oh no babe not Felicity, Mickole.” Aly said as we moved to get food.
