Nathalie's POV

"Dear diary,

Hello! I finally bought a diary!. Since you're new I have a lot of stories to tell! But....out of all the stories, there is one story that changed my life....our lives. After all that has happened to us..... I guess it will be a very long story , but it will be fun!

But where are my manners? Hi! I'm Nathalie Elise Anderson. I have three best friends and without them is like.....a rainbow without color...deep ^.^...haha!

Now, let's start shall we?

It all started when I was practicing for my declamation in the library....

-•-•-•-•-•-

Oh my! I never thought memorizing these things can be so hard!

There aren't so many people here at the library, only the contestants...really

Now, let's try this again shall we?

"Promise Land-" I still don't memorize it so I looked at my declamation paper again
"Where am I?.......Is this the real world?"
"A lot of things are at my- on my mind...I may be young and-....innocent, but not ignorant. I can clearly see what's present.......and I....and I.....-that's it! I can't do this!" I exclaimed.

"Shush my dear!" Grandma shushed.

" sorry!....." Then I made a sign of peace...I gotta take a break from all of this stuff

"I know my dear it is hard to memorize your work but please don't scare the crepestakes out of all of the other students in here." Grandma said.

In case you are wondering, my grandma is the head librarian here. She is clearly the oldest librarian here at school and she is a close friend of our principal.

"I'm sorry grandma, I have so much stress running in my mind right now!" I exclaimed

"Hmm...why don't you take a break and find a book to read?"

I knew I wasn't in my right state of mind right now. My mind got tired from all of this memorizing. I think grandma is on my side too.

"That's nice" I thought.

After a little while, Grandma's face looked like something good suddenly came to her mind.

"I like to show you something my child, follow me" then grandma started walking.

I stood from my seat, left my declamation paper, then followed grandma.

Upon following grandma I realized the room was getting darker and darker and it's starting to creep me out.

Grandma suddenly stopped and I stopped too. In front of us was a cream colored marble wall.

She palmed the wall as if there was some kind of opening hidden. This is just like the books I read.

'Click' I heard a sudden sound from the wall where grandma touched.

The wall suddenly moved and created an opening.

"Woah"

"I know right? That was my expression when your great grandmother showed me this"

It's so cool!

Grandma then got a glass with a candle inside, that was the only source of light in here

"Here my child, take this"

Grandma gave me the glass with candle.

"I leave this part of the journey for you to explore"

Then grandma suddenly disappeared as she walked away from me.

"But grandma! Where will I go?! There's nothing in here!" I exclaimed

But I received no answer. Does she have some kind of night vision or something? Oh well.

I just continued to walk not knowing where I am heading towards to.

While walking into the darker part of the room I realized that there are bookshelves here and they are pretty dusty...it looks like no one ever touched this part of the room yet.

While I was observing these 'Untouched' bookshelves , something caught my eye...its...a book...at the very top of the bookshelf.

It looked so different from the others.like...theres something special with that book...others looked pretty plain compared to that one..

I tried to extend my hand longer to reach it but I just can't. I sighed ...I'm too tiny...

So instead I looked for something I could step on. Good thing I found a bar stool that is tall enough for me to reach the top. I placed it in front of the bookshelf then attempted to reach the book again...

Almost there....I......got it!

"Woah-...woah!"

I lost my balance and fell to the ground. Luck didn't help me.

"Oww!"

My bum started aching when I stood up so I rubbed it, hoping it would minimize the pain.

As I walked back to the table I observed the book...it looks like it's a hundred year old book! I don't know anything about it so I changed my direction and searched for grandma.

After a while I somehow managed to get out of the dark room.

"Grandma?"

It looks like she left after she went out of the mysterious room. Now what?

I then asked another librarian.

"Um..Ms. Ever?"

"Oh! Yes Ms. Anderson?"

"Can i ask you about this book?"

Then I held up the book with both hands.

" Hmm...I've never seen that before in here but of course since you're grandma is the head librarian you can ask her about it."

"Uhm...okay...thanks anyway"

I decided to just read it before I go back to practice reading my book.

I looked for the wall again and palmed the wall just like how grandma did.

'Click' Yes! I did it!

I walked forward and found myself back at where I found the book.

I saw that stool from a while ago. I sat and I started observing the book

Hmm....I then started to read the first page

"Once upon a time..."
