Darcy - Travel sickness trip to Louis parents part 1

This has been written by myself and @Larryxlicf.  I know that Jay louis mum is no longer with us but we have decided to use her in our story.

It was Friday night and the family of five were currently packing to go up to Louis parents for around half a week. It was the Kids half term so they decided to make the most of it. Darcy was packing her own bag, she was excited about seeing her grandparents but not looking forward to the journey.

Louis was helping Jamie pack while Harry was helping Holly pack. "Did you get some more travel sickness pills for Darcy?" Louis asked, knowing how his daughter gets on long journeys. Darcy never did well with travelling and they found that out when she was only four years old. "Yeah, I left them downstairs so she can take them before we leave" Harry replied.

Louis nodded and he hoped they would work. Harry then made a start on dinner for everyone. He made pasta and tomato sauce and soon called everyone down. Everyone ate their food and made conversation. "You excited bud?" Louis asked Jamie who was eating quickly in order to go to his grandparents quicker. He nodded vigorously, shoving more food in his mouth. "Slow down" Louis chuckled. Jamie sighed but slowed down slightly.

While everyone was enjoying there Pasta Darcy had only had half her plate and Harry had only done her a small portion in the first place. "Darc come on eat up I only made you a small plate" Harry told the girl. She shook her head. "Want to have some toast?" Louis suggested and she nodded so Louis got up and made her some toast.

"Here you go" Louis walked back in not long later and handed Darcy her toast. "Take these as well so they have time to kick in" Louis spoke, handing Darcy the travel sickness pills. She spoke a quick 'thank you' before tucking into her toast. "Papa, why does Darcy have medicine? Is she poorly?" Holly asked.

"Darcy isn't poorly, you remember sometimes being in the car makes Darcy a bit sick, these are to help" Louis explains. Holly nods and they all go back to finish. Darcy takes her time eating while everyone else has finished. Louis felt his phone vibrate and saw that his mum had messaged him. "Mum wants to know what time we are arriving" Louis told Harry who was driving. "We'll leave in about half an hour so I'd say about 8:30/9 pm" Harry said.

Louis nodded. "Hopefully by 9 as long as the journey goes smoothly" he messaged back having a feeling they might have to do a few stops. Harry cleared up as Darcy finished her toast. Darcy tried not to think about the drive.

Louis then went to put the rest of the bags in the boot making sure they had several carrier bags and placed the bucket with one on in the back of the car. He then went to check with Harry who was driving and who was sitting in the back with Darcy. "I'll drive. Maybe it'll be better if Darcy sits upfront, it sometimes helps" Harry spoke and Louis nodded. They made sure that everyone used the toilet before leaving and headed to the car, Louis picking up the house. Everyone got situated in the care and buckled in Darcy sitting in the front as it sometimes helped her with her symptoms.

"Try and get some sleep Darc" Harry told her, lightly patting her leg before he started to drive. Darcy sighed as she wasn't tired, she made sure she had a carrier bag and a bucket in reach.

Harry put the radio on low as he drove. Of course both Jamie and Holly fell asleep straight away.. About twenty minutes into the journey, Darcy began to feel nauseous, it wasn't really bad but she knew that it would only get worse. She rested her head on the cold window and looked out of the window, watching as they passed everything. She sighed heavily, resting her hand in her queasy stomach.

The nauseous feeling intensified really quickly and the girl grabbed the bucket and leant over it and soon she violently vomited into it. Louis and Harry sighed at how quickly Darcy got travel sick. "Shhh let it up, I'm just looking for a place to pull over" Harry said as they comforted the girl.
