The three lay on the ground sobbing whilst still holding each other for about 5-10 minutes; most of the Guild was minding their own business but those who had grown close to Lucy in the short amount of time they knew her were smiling softly at the sight. Practically everyone in Fiore knew about what happened to Lucy, but they didn't feel bad for her just because of the heart break, a lot of girls went through stuff like that. People empathized with her because Lucy lost her family after she left Fairy Tail in spite of her friends begging her to stay.Lucy had clearly went through a lot of pain and despite that always kept a bright smile on her face putting everyone else before herself. She had grown as a person and her magic had increased by a lot.
Everyone in the guild could tell just by her appearance and the increase of magic energy that emanated from her that she was easily one of the strongest wizards in the guild; though they didn't know the full extent of her powers quite yet.
"I'm so sorry." Lucy sobbed hugging them both tightly; it felt good to hug her sister and precious friends again.
"Lusheeee I can finally be your exceed now!!" Happy cried happily. "Stupid Natsu wouldn't let me come with you!! I hate him! Gray let me stay with him until we found you!" Happy said still sobbing.
"Natsu has been v-very mean since you left L-Lucy S-San..." Wendy cried. She missed how the guild used to be when Lucy was around...it just wasn't the same anymore.
"I know you two..." Lucy said smiling sadly, she wiped both of their tears away and got up helping them up as well. "I'm sorry for disappearing on you like that; I must've worried you a lot." She murmured softly, wiping away her salty tears.
"Damn right you had us worried." Gray said as he approached Lucy.
Lucy flinched as she looked up to see the Raven haired mage. "Gray..." she murmured, her lips quivered as a wave of sadness hit Her, She had missed the Ice mage so so much.
Gray held out his arms a soft smile spreading on his face, "what? I don't get a hug?" He asked with a soft chuckle.
"Tsk put on some clothes first." She teased a waterfall of tears escaping from her eyes despite the fact that she was trying her best to smile.
Sting reached out attempting to comfort her; it hurt to see her so sad but gray beat him to it.
Gray lunged forwards wrapping his arms around Lucy and holding her close, he let her bury her face in his chest as she broke down sobbing; he couldn't hold back any longer and he too began to cry. He had one hand on her head and the other wrapped around her curvy and seemingly frail body. He breathed in her sweet scent realizing now that he had greatly underestimated how much he truly missed her.
Lucy let herself melt under Grays embrace; the ice mage was incredibly warm and made her feel a sense of security while being held in his muscular arms. She couldn't help but smile as her tears came to a stop.
"I'm so....so sorry" Lucy murmured softly almost to quiet to hear. "I shouldn't have left without saying anything...I just couldn't—"
"I know Luce." Gray whispered stroking her short golden hair "I know."
Sting glared at Gray angrily; he should be the one comforting her not that Fairy! Lucy wasn't a Fairy anymore she was a Saber meaning it was their job to comfort her not the fairies.
Rogue watched Sting as he jealously glared at Gray; Lucy and Sting had never been close until Yesterday but he had to admit even he wanted to keep Lucy away from the Fairies. It wasn't however for the same reason Sting wanted to; in Rogues eyes Lucy was like that fragile little sister he had always wanted to protect and care for but it was obvious Sting had Feelings for Lucy.
Rogue had noticed Stings interest in the pretty blonde since the Grand Magic Games but sting had pushed that interest down in attempt to chase after Yukino which was Futile in the end because she did not return his feelings. Sting had always thought of Natsu as his Rival but now Rogue had a feeling his new rival was Gray.
He decided to help Sting out and used his shadows to grab a Job flier from upstairs. "I'm sorry to interrupt your little reunion but we're sort of on a tight schedule..." he said holding up the flier revealing it was an S-Class mission.
Gray let go of Lucy looking at Rogue quizzically "what does Our reunion have to do with you?" he asked coldly.
Lucy couldn't help but shiver at the sudden coldness she felt when Gray let her go, she had hoped it would last atleast a little longer. Could it be that she liked the ice mage? She shook her head pushing the idea to the back of her head she had no time to worry about that now.
Sting looked just as confused as Gray for a second but caught on quickly when Rogue gave him a look he knew very well. "We have an S-class mission a very dangerous one and we need our strongest s-class members to come along and that includes Lucy since she's a——"
Lucy tensed up and sent Sting a warning glare that said 'I trusted you don't you dare say anything yet.'
Sting got the message and stuttered "a-a very strong Mage she'll be very useful on this trip so as her guild master I command she comes with us." He said as he swung his arm around Lucy's shoulders.
Gray glared at Sting "last time I checked guild masters don't decide what missions a mage goes on so if you'll excuse me we'll be taking Lucy home." He growled without thinking about his words; he grabbed Lucy's arm and pulled her towards him careful not to hurt her.
Lucy flinched when she heard Gray say they were taking her back "home." She opened her mouth to protest but Sting and Rogue intervened.Sting grabbed Lucy pulling her behind him and Rogue a black and White Aura surrounded both of them while the atmosphere around Gray became chilly and cool.
"Lucy is home." Rogue said looking slightly angry. Lucy could've sworn she saw the images of the shadow and light dragons standing behind their sons (media.)
Gray bared his teeth clenching his fists and preparing to fight. "No, she's not! She belongs in Magnolia with us!" He said his demon slayer instincts taking over; all he could think about was keeping Lucy close to him which meant bringing her back to Fairy Tail.
The three boys braced for battle the guild at this point had gone quiet and was intently watching them the majority beginning to bet on the twin dragon slayers victory.
That's when Lucy stepped in. She pushed past the twin dragon slayers tears forming in her eyes. "I am home Gray!!" She shouted. "Magnolia isn't my home anymore—-I can't go back to Fairy Tail at least not right now." She said her eyes pleading for him to back off.
Gray cooled down a bit feeling guilty that he had been so hot headed. "But I-"
Lucy stopped him, "I'm going to participate in the grand magic games Gray. As a part of Saber Tooth I am going to make them the number one guild again and will beat team Natsu no matter what. I will prove that I am strong, stronger than Dragneel ever knew." She said a determined look crossing her face.
Sting and Rogue grinned both putting their arms around Lucy "That's right Ice princess, She belongs to us!" Sting proclaimed a triumphant grin on his face.
