Throughout their whole meal after what happened many of the customers who had witnessed the fight came up to them before leaving the restaurant sympathizing with them and complimenting them.
They'd say things like...
"You two make such cute babies!!"
"I am so sorry you had to go through that, that waitress has no sense of pride! So shameless!!"
Lucy couldn't help but feel a little annoyed since Sting was the one who got them into this whole mess so she just thanked them and tried to Finish her meal as quickly as possible. Apart from that everything was alright until...
"Oh My God!! It's THE Lucy Heartfilia!!" Someone shouted.
Lucy tensed up—did someone know her true identity as a member of the council?!
"Quick over here we just HAVE to get an exclusive interview!! She hasn't been seen since she left Fairy Tail because of Salamander!! Oooh this'll be a HUGE story!!" She heard them say.
Lucy let out a sigh of relief so it wasn't because of her being on the council...'thank god...' she thought.
She then tensed up. 'Wait then that means—-' Lucy stood up picking up Sora and grabbing Stings arm "t-time to go!" She stuttered running as fast as she could dragging sting behind her eventually managing to loose the reporters.
"What's wrong blondie?" Sting asked raising an eye brow.
Lucy set Sora down on the ground and wiped sweat from her forehead. "They're here because of the whole Natsu Incident and me disappearing for so long."
Sting nodded "yea I figured but why run?"
"I..." Lucy clutched onto a Pendant she was wearing around her neck her lips quivering. "I don't want Fairy Tail to know where I am...I'm not ready to see them yet and they might try to stop me from joining saber tooth..."
Stings eyes widened in realization "that's right...especially because it's obvious you've changed." He murmured thoughtfully.
Lucy tilted her head to the side. "What do you mean?"
"Your hair is considerably longer, it's well masked but your powers have clearly grown and it shows, you've grown stronger physically too. It's not as obvious but your muscles are more toned then they were a year ago." Sting said pointing at her while speaking.
Lucy blushed surprised he had noticed all that despite her masking her powers. "I-I um——wow I didn't think it was that obvious.." She stuttered not sure how to respond.
Meanwhile....
"Awwww man we lost her again!!" Complained a random reporter.
"Hehehe..." a blonde reporter laughed to himself. "I finally got you Lucy" he grinned holding a picture he had taken of Lucy Sting and Sora before they noticed the reporters around the area.
"Whaaaa?! Jason you lucky bastard!!" Another reporter pouted.
"Haha you can have a copy after I publish MY article." Jason grinned walking off in the direction Lucy and Sting ran off.
