She was looking at the mysterious boy running away until she couldn't see him anymore.

She didn't really pay attention to what he was wearing,all she saw was white.

She felt too weak to continue running after him,she started having a breakdown.

She fell on the ground and started sobbing. She could easily make a lake with all those unstoppable tears that were falling.
She couldn't believe it.

She couldn't accept it.

Was this all a dream?

Is this reality?

Did she for real lost her partner in crime?her best friend?
What the hell was she supposed to do now?move on?is this even possible?

Tikki and Plagg came out from her purse,telling her that they can find him and perhaps change his mind again.

"It's not that simple guys.."she said between sobs.

"New York is enormous.Plus,it's too dangerous for you to wander around.."

After she calmed down a bit,
She took her phone from the purse to check the time.

Only to see 10 missed calls from her parents.

'They should already know everything from the news. They must be worried sick..'she thought as she tried to call them back. But that's when her phone died of battery.

"Shoot. No battery"
She muttered to herself.

After a moment,she found the energy to stand up and start walking.
As she was walking,she saw someone taking out something from the dirty water.

Is that...

Adrien?

What is he doing here?

She was just facing his back,but of course she could easily recognize this back anywhere.
She was about to say something but he cut her off.

"Don't try Ladybug. It's better like this."he said,still his back facing her.

Marinette was confused.

What did he say..?

why?

Wait a minute..

'Could this mean...'

She gasped.

And why did he not react?

She was really dying inside. She wanted to scream so bad,but she somehow managed to hold herself and tried to calm down.

"A..Adrien."

He jumped a little when he heard her saying his civilian name, but didn't turn around.

She did say it,right?he wasn't imagining.

He pinched himself to make sure.

It's all real.

Good job Agreste.

"I screwed up again,didn't I?we weren't supposed to know.."

She couldn't speak.

"I'm really sorry for disappointing you again"he continued.

"Stop"

"Huh?"

"Stop blaming yourself all the time."

"But-"

Marinette hugged him from behind without hesitation.

It's funny because  a few hours ago she was acting all weak and awkward around him. But now...now it was different.

She has the chance now. She has the chance to possibly change his mind.

Adrien was taken aback from the hug. She hugged him so tight he wouldn't even be able to escape even if he tried to.He didn't want to run. Although he felt like he had to.

"Adrien..no..Chat Noir..don't do this please.I need you."

"You mean a lot to me. I don't want to lose you over this. We can fix this somehow. I can't do it without you."

No reaction.

With no other choice left, she let go of him and went straight in front of him,looking him dead in the eyes.

His eyes widened in surprise as he didn't expect this move from her,plus the fact that she just revealed him who she is.

"M-Marinette?"

His classmate.

No,no.

His friend.

His sweet friend that did some magic tricks and somehow managed to make his father be positive for the trip.

"Without Chat Noir,Ladybug is nothing."

He tried to protest"that's not-"but she immediately cut him off by putting her hand on his mouth.

"I'm dead serious. You are stronger than this,I know you are. Please,you have to stay."

She started crying again.

"Don't you leave me you dumb cat!"she exclaimed.

"You can't just run away and really think that I'll do just fine without you!That's not how it goes. We work together, no matter what. We fix mistakes as much as we can. Together."

Damn,she looks scary when she's mad.

He's never seen Marinette like this.

She's usually very cheerful. She'd always fix anyone's mood during hard days.

She really is amazing.

And he for sure can't say no to that face.
He gave her a small smile and nodded his head."okay"

"Pardon?"

did she hear correctly?

"Do you have my ring?"

Her face lit up "yes!"

She reached her purse and took his ring out and gave it to him and then he wore it.

He looked at it smiling and greeted Plagg. Plagg slapped him with his little hands on Adrien's cheek and told him to not do this ever again.
"Im sorry buddy. Never again"

"You better be serious 'cause I am!"

He smiled at him and gave him camembert to calm down.He then turned his gaze back to Marinette.

He got closer and hugged her as tight as she did before, maybe even more,he had to return the favor y'know.

Not only because he loved touching her.

Totally not only for that.

When he pulled away he looked at her again,and smirked when he saw that blush on all over her face.

He raised his eyebrow and said "cat got your tongue?"then winked.

Her face was as red as a tomato.
"Shut up."she said as she pushed him lightly and giggled.

The moment was ruined when Uncanny flew towards them"Ladybug,Chat Noir!We need you!"

Marinette raised her eyebrow and started getting nervous.
How did she know?was she spying on them?

"What are you talking about?"

The girl smiled and started explaining to them how they can't hide this from her, because she's not a human and that they all need them right now. Apparently Hawkmoth wasn't in Paris like they first thought,instead he came to New York as well.

And they need to stop him before this mess gets worse.
