Chapter 3: New Men

"Time for the big reveal!" Says Rizumu from outside the bathroom. "You ready?"

"Yeah! I'm ready!" Kirishima said from the other side of the door. The brothers had taken the morning to take a different direction in their appearance. Neither of them had seen what the other now looked like. Kirishima opened the door, and the brothers had to take a second to recognize who it was in front of them.

"Bro! Your new hair looks awesome!" Rizumu says, taking in his brother's new look. He had put a vibrant red in his hair, and put his hair up, making it more spikey. "Mina's totally gonna love those horns you got." He said, motioning to the two protruding from the front of his hair.

"The streaks are perfect!" Kirishima said, motioning to the green in the front of his hair, and the green streak on his left side.

"It was kind of hard to get it right. Hit or miss, and I say it was out of the park." He said, running his hand through his hair. 

"We're gonna be as manly as ever!" Kirishima said, getting his backpack. 

"You said it! No regrets!" Rizumu said, grabbing his. When they headed to the door, their mother saw their new looks as well.  

"I'm so proud of you both. Good luck on your first day!" 

"Love you mom!" Kirishima said, as they went outside and Rizumu threw a portal to the front of U.A., with the school in all it's glory and cherry blossoms leading all the way to the front of the school. 

"Let's go." Rizumu said, earning a nod from his brother before they jumped through. The portal closed, and behind it, coincidentally, Mina was on her way to the school as well. 

"HUH?!" She said, getting the brothers' attention. "What's with that hair? Trying to look cool for high school?! You've got horns! Like me!" She said in her usual bubbly tone.

"Yeah! Don't tease me about it." Kirishima said defensively.

"She wasn't teasing, bro." Rizumu said. 

"So? I won't regret anything anymore! I'm going to become a hero who can protect people! I'm saying goodbye to the pathetic me!" Kirishima said with passion, as Mina looks at them with curiosity.

"We're new men now!" Rizumu adds. "We're gonna work to be strong!"

Then, Mina's demeanor changed. From her cheerful one to an understanding one. "For you, what happened that day was tough, huh?" She asked Kirishima, and both brothers knew which day she was referring to. 

"So what?" He said, defensively, earning a nudge from his brother, before Mina comes in with a flurry of playful punches. 

"Don't get to eager!" She yells. 

"Ow! I mean, it doesn't hurt! What the heck?" Kirishima said, trying to be strong, not knowing what was happening, and then Mina takes on her cheerful demeanor once again.

"Once you get over it completely within yourself, let me know, okay?" She said, followed by a laugh, letting the brothers know that she was now their friend. 

"Thanks." Kirishima said. The three of them went to class, and had a bit of trouble finding the classroom, but when they got there, the door was ridiculously huge.

"That's a big door." Rizumu said, as they stood in front of it. When they went in, Rizumu immediately started scouting out his class. People that seemed nice, people that seemed smart, people that seemed competitive, and people that seemed strong. 

"Yo!" A familiar voice called. Rizumu turned his head, and it belonged to a familiar face. 

"Kaminari? I didn't know you were in this class!" He said while giving him a bro handshake.

"Me neither! It's good to see you."

"Likewise. I didn't ask during the exam, but what's your Quirk?" 

"Electrification. I can cover myself with electricity and send it out in huge amounts. The only drawback is that I become a huge idiot for a while if I use it too much. What about you?"

"Mine's called Neon Irregularity. I can throw portals anywhere to any place and I can make daggers out of neon itself. My drawback is that I can get a migraine if I have too many portals open." He says, taking his seat. 

"Cool. It was good to see you." Kaminari says, then sees that Kirishima is in the seat 

"You too, man." Kaminari responds, before going to his seat and talking to Kirishima, the seat right behind him, and the two immediately hitting it off. Rizumu looks beside him, and a boy with the head of a black falcon was in the seat to his left. 

"Hey. I'm Eijiro Rizumu. You seem cool. Who are you?" He asked.

"Name's Fumikage Tokoyami. I have a shadow that can deal serious damage. He needs a lot of darkness to be as strong as he needs to be. What about you?" Then, a shadowy being comes out from his back. "I'm Dark Shadow! The coolest shadow around!"  

"Nice to meet you both. I can throw portals to anywhere and make daggers from the same energy. If I have too many open though, I get a headache until I close them." He says as he throws a tiny portal, enough for his hand to go to the other side of Tokoyami's head, and then creates a dagger before it fizzles out, and he closes the portal. 

The attention of the class then goes to the front of the door, where his sees the green-haired boy and brown-haired girl from the exam. Rizumu noticed how flustered the boy was around her, and immediately his senses went off. 'He totally likes her.' He thought. 

"Go somewhere else if you want to play at being friends." A tired voice said from the door of the classroom. The Eijiros were near the middle with Kirishima in the front, so they couldn't see who it was in the hallway, leaving them curious as to who it was. "This is the hero course." He said, while entering the classroom, holding some sort of sleeping bag. 

'Why does he have that? Better question, why does he still look tired?' Rizumu thought to himself. 

"Okay, it took eight seconds before you were quiet. Time is limited. You kids are not rational enough. I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you." He said, still drowsily. 

"Homeroom teacher?!" The entire class exclaimed, wondering how he was going to help them become pro heroes. However, none of them knew who he really was.

"It's kind of sudden, but put this on and go out onto the field." He said, pulling out what looked to be a PE Uniform, which was blue and had the letters UA on the front. 

"This ought to be fun." Kirishima said while looking at his brother.
