Chapter 15 - The Last Cry

A/N: I know this sounds like someone died and someone did just not Jeth or Lexi.................... someone else. This is dedicated to my own dad(no he isn't dead) he's dad also died when he was at a pretty young age. FOR YOU DAD! And yesterday was his dad's death anniversary. 

Alexis's POV:

My dad has been sick for a really long time. It got to the point where I had to stay with mom, and Elle while the boys were staying at our house. Riley's staying with Jeff's parents. 

I was in my old room on the bed chilling when I got a call

Jethro 
Alexis

Hi babe *voice breaking*

Hey honey, how is he?

Worse, he can't get up an-

I got cut off by Elle coming in and screaming that he isn't responding. "CALL MOM NOW!" I said. I put the phone back on my ear. 

Babe, he's not responding and you need to come here now with Johny, Jake, and Alex also pick up Riley too! DON'T TELL THE TWINS PLEASE!*Sobbing*

Shit! On our way! Hang in there babe We'll be there in 3 minutes I promise. It's okay, shhhhhhhh! Calm down It's okay! Bye *heavily breathing*

Bye *still sobbing*

He hung up. "Girls, I'm home! Did you call the ambulance?" Mom said crying then putting her stuff down and racing into the bedroom where dad was. she saw him and instantly broke down. "Nooooooo!" She screamed. "Mom, mom come on let's go outside," Elle said as we picked her and I sat her down on the couch we both hugged her and had a good cry. "It's been 4 years since he got sick I only got to know 1 year ago! 4 YEARS!" She said with her head in her hands. "Wait, mom did you just say 4 YEARS!" I said surprised straight to the face and I looked up at Elle, she was just as surprised. Mom just nodded her head. We just hugged her a lot seeing she needed it.

Jethro's POV:

I raced Alexis's parent's house with Alex in the front and the boys at the back and Riley at the back since we picked her up on the way. "Why exactly are we going home again?" Jake asked breaking the silence. I gave Alex a 'do-not-say-it' look. "It's calcified!" Alex joked winking at me fast enough for the boys not to see. We reached in a matter of minutes. I rang the doorbell with Riley on my hip. "Hey, hon and bros and Rie Rie!" Alexis said with tears in her eyes. "Oh My God, Is he responding now?!?" Alex asked. Johny and Jake both hugged Alexis and both stared at Alex when he was talking. "DAD STOP RESPONDING?!?" The twins asked. "Yes, but don't say anything to mom she's really emotional! Apparently, he's been sick for 4 years and mom only got to know 1 year ago so she's really mad at herself," She said getting down to Riley's level and kissing her nose then taking her from me. "Mommy, is grandpa okay?" Riley asked biting her fingers. I looked at Lexi and she looked back. "Yeah, baby. Granpa's okay, but you can't play with him right now, okay?" Alexis said on the verge of tears that's when I took Riley and walked in giving her to Elle and took Alexis to the bathroom. 

"All of you come here including you Jethro and you too Riley Boo!" her mum said as everyone in the room sat around her. Everyone includes Alex, Johny, Jake, Tommy(who had just come), Elle, Alexis, Riley, and I. "Listen I gonna give everyone a job and I request you to do it and do it well!" We all nodded. "Okay, Jethro and Alexis call the ambulance and make sure they rush. Alex, Johny, Jake make sure dad doesn't die, and if his pulse stops scream my name. "Elle, Tommy, and I will make food and get ready for dinner for you all, okay? Everyone knows their respective jobs?" She said and all said "YES!" We all split up and Alexi sand I finished our job in seconds so we went to help Alex, Johny, and Jake with Henry, her dad.

"MOM, HE'S GONE I CAN'T FEEL HIS PULSE! MOM!" Alexis yelled falling down having a breakdown causing the boys to start tearing up. "DAD, HENRY HUNTER!!!!!" Johny screamed not having it. 

~At the hospital~ 

The doctors had just finished checking up on him, immediately to the emergency room. After 5 hours of waiting outside with hope in our hands they came out making all the girls stand but the boys were drowning in sadness. All I heard was: "I'm sorry ma'am, We had to put him to sleep," I instantly got up to hug Alexis, Elle, and Lillith. We all hugging and crying. "He's in a better place now just remember that!" Lilith said as the boys join in.

A few days later we held the funeral, I obviously wore a suit and Alexis wore a beautiful black dress and Riley wore a cute baby dress 

We were all crying. Alex, Tommy, William(Henry's best friend from school) and I held the coffin and Alexis said a beautiful speech and she ended with: "My dad's favorite song to listen to with me when I was about 21, 22 was 'In Case You Don't Live Forever' By Ben Platt." The choir started singing (Watch the video now)
