Chapter 16 - Adopted

Alexis's POV:

Ever since my dad..... you know, passed, we've been clearing out some of his stuff and it got to the point where Elle, Johny, Jake, and mom had to stay with us. I was a stay-at-home mom for Riley so I had no work pressure but Jethro and I  had to keep getting up each morning because I make him lunch and a treat and he has worked. After he leaves I sneak back in bed for tens second till Riley comes in and cuddles into me every morning unless she's already in the bed!

Anyway, today was the last day of clearing up. For some weird reason, I had a bad feeling about today, Alex came sprinting to the room I was in. "Lexi. look what I found!" He said placing an adoption certificate for the 2 of us. 

"WAIT WHAT IS THIS?!?" I said about to cry. He hugged me tightly. I guess everyone heard me scream because they all came rushing in. "WHAT HAPPENED?!?" Elle yelled about to fall because she stopped herself with the help of Tommy. "Mom, What is this?" I said handing her the certificate. "Darling, can I explain, please?" She said as I pushed past them all I took my phone and ran into the closest bathroom. I quickly called Jethro luckily he picked up quickly. 

Alexis 
Jethro

Hey babe

Jethro, can you come to my so-called parents' home!

So-called? 

If possible bring Hoppo.

Hoppo, what? Why Hoppo, honey?!? 

Just come and I'll explain. 

Jethro's POV:

I got a call from Alexis I picked in a happy mood. 

Alexis
Jethro

Hey babe*smiling*

Jethro, can you come to my so-called parents' home!

So-called?*confused*

If possible bring Hoppo.

Hoppo, what? Why Hoppo, honey?!?

Just come and I'll explain. 

I went over to Hoppo's office and knocked. "Come in" I heard Hoppo say. I walked in, in my uniform, and said. "Hey, Hop, Alexis found something and she needs both of us to come, so only if possible could you come with me?" I gulped. "Um.... yup I think I come!" He said looking around then looking back at me. He radioed that he was leaving and Deano was in charge. I nodded and walked out of the office and he followed. We all felt awkward around him and had no idea what to say. Anyway, I drove to her parents' house. I rang the bell still in my uniform. "Hey, Babe, Thanks for coming Hoppo!" Alexis said. I could tell something huge happened by her face. "No. problem! Now, Jeff said that there's something you wanna show us?" Hoppo asked as she let us in. We kissed as I walked behind Hoppo. "Okay, so this is Hoppo, my boss!" I said introducing him and Alex mumbled something that I couldn't hear so I ignored it. All of them introduced themselves to him. "Why I called Hoppo was because the Adoption certificate says Alexis and Alex HOPKINS," Alexis said biting her lip as my eyes widened. "WAIT, WHAT ADOPTION CERTIFICATE?!?" I asked completely stunned. "D-DID YOU SAY HOPKINS?" Hoppo asked. 

She handed the certificate to Hoppo. "And, Hoppo's real name is Bruce HOPKINS!" She said finally connecting the entire story. Alex started at Hoppo who picked up his phone and started to dial in a number. Ten minutes later a woman picks up her name is Stacey Woods who was Hoppo's ex-wife. "BRUCE!" She yelled. "Hi, mom," Alex said and Hoppo gestured to take the phone from him. Lilith sat in one corner and cried. Alexis went over and so did I as Lilith was kinda like my second mother at this point. "Hey, mom, I'm really sorry that I burst out and yelled before I didn't mean to make you feel bad, I was just caught up in emotion, YOU will always be my mother no matter what!" Alexis exclaimed as her mum looked up with tear-stained eyes and hugged Alexis for her last sentence. 

Alex and Alexis spook to Stacey and soon later they hung up. I hugged them both real tight then everybody joined including Hop. "You're our dad," The twins exclaimed said looking up at Hop and then at Lilith. "I love you, mom," Alex said looking at mom who hugged tighter. "I love all of you!" Elle said making everyone laugh. "WAIT I JUST REALISED!" I said shooting up with Riley sitting on my lap and she instantly looked up at me. "What?" Johny asked. "I GONNA BE MARRIED TO MY BOSS'S DAUGHTER!!!" I said making everyone laugh and Alexis kiss me. "GET A ROOM!" Jake and Johny yelled in unison making everyone burst out again. 

In the end, we're all family. 😉
