She pried open the back of her phone and pulled out the sim card. She snapped it in two parts and threw them away. She also didn't forget to break the phone in to pieces. She got on the plane after she was done erasing all her traces. She had to get out of here first.
Just after the cops broke in she rushed upstairs hoping to lose anyone who tries to follow her. But to her surprise, no one even noticed. Everyone was fixed on Jenny and the gun at her hand. But she had to get out. She had left the love of her life to suffer alone. But he will understand. One has to make small sacrifices to achieve the bigger goal.
Now all she had to do was get to New York and stay hidden for a long time. Once the search for her winds down, she'll look for the guy with the glasses. After her work here is done, she will have to return to Evergreen Wood and take revenge upon the people made her love suffer all those years.
She was glad she prepared their tickets, cash and small backpacks to flee from there once they were done with the killings. Now she alone took both the backpacks with her hoping his belongings will keep her goal in front of her. She'll need new name, new place to stay with n one to look out for her. Her mind kept flashing her mom's image. But she wiped it clean. She always preferred her sister. And once she knows what she had done, she'll despise her. It's better to leave.
She opened the extra backpack and looked inside. She pulled out a shirt and breathed in. his smell still lingered on it and she was glad for it. She found stash of cashes, some drugs, hotel ads and a piece of paper. She opened the folds and read it.
There's no time, none to lose,
Leaving all behind, there she goes.
Away from home, away forever,
She had miles yet to cover.
She didn't know where it came from or what it meant. But it clearly related her to her onward journey. She only had to survive New York alone. then she'll go back to get her love back.
She will survive this. After all, she is Lola Stone.
