Nandini was sitting in her room and working on Manik's assignment, for this week she had not only taken up his assignments, but had also taken to getting him proxy attendance. Manik was hardly ever in class, his audition was due the next day, and he was practicing with his heart and soul. Now that he and Nandini had become somewhat friends over text messages (they were still awkward in front of each other) he had generously invited her to his practice sessions when she was free, but thanks to the approaching finals and truckload of her and Manik's assignments, she never managed the time. Also at the back of her mind was Mox, she had been acting strange ever since the day they had gone for the movie; Nandini thought things were okay between them, if so, then why was Mox always in her room? Why hadn't Abhimanyu turned up even once in the entire week? She initially thought she should give her time, she would open up by herself, but its was almost a week now, and still no trace of Mox opening up. Nandini decided to talk to her that night, after she was done with her assignments.

As Nandini entered Mox's room quietly, she saw Mox notice her and suddenly grab a handful of things and shoved it in her drawer before turning to her; clearly she was hiding something.

"Mox, what's wrong, you're not behaving right somehow" whispered Nandini.

"No, er..no I am fine, could you please excuse me for sometime?" she replied. Nandini was taken aback and decided not to intervene, in fact she was just walking out of the door, when Mox got up to lock the door behind her; it was then Nandini noticed something that made the ground below her shake in astonishment.

"Mox, you are wearing a SKIRT?!?" she almost shrieked and to her surprise Mox gulped air unnecessarily and mumbled something like, "found..wardrobe..clothes for wash". Nandini knew there was something wrong, she barged back inside and demanded to know what it was, and Mox having ben caught off hand, couldn't come up with an excuse that was convincing enough, so she confessed to her the truth.

"Nands, I don't know what to tell you, I am very confused"

"What are you confused about?" asked Nandini cautiously

Mox looked at Nandini for a long time before replying, "Mukti's truth"

Nandini stared at her for a while, before the meaning of the statement hit her.

"What about it?" she asked breathlessly.

Mox sighed once and went about telling her everything that happened that fateful night in the football field. Nandini's jaw dropped in shock. Even when she gave him the advice, she never thought Mox would take it so damn seriously, and of all people, go after Abhimanyu!

"Now?" she asked him, still in shock.

"Now what? Abhimanyu hasn't spoken to me ever since; he has avoided my messages and my calls, the one day I went to class after that, he pretended he couldn't see me." repied Mox lowly.

"Not that Mox, I meant, how do you feel about yourself, now that you tried this thing out with Abhimanyu?" asked Nandini softly, she was curious.

Mox sighed, "Honestly Nands, I don't know. I am all the more confused. Up until now, I was sure I psychologically associated better with the male gender, but after that night I am not sure of that too. What was that? Why did I enjoy it? I even considered that maybe I am gay, but it that even possible? A woman's body, feeling like a man, and being attracted to a man – is that being gay? My attraction was purely physical, and I am biologically a woman, so that can make me a straight woman too, right? I just don't know which one. I am more confused than ever Nands"

Nandini felt guilty now, she genuinely thought, she was helping Mox with her advice, but what it led to was her being further confused about the only thing she was sure about in all the chaos, her sexuality. Maybe she wasn't knowledgable enough to advice, she wished she didn't, but now?
