"Oh yeah, terribly funny, really witty"
*****

Y/n and Pansy began making their way down the stone stairs towards the small hut, just behind Potter and his friends. They were on their way to Care of Magical Creatures, a lesson students only began studying once starting third year along with divination.

"Don't be silly Ron, how could anyone be in two classes at once?" The mud blood said rather arrogantly. Y/n had never really liked the trio, during their years at Hogwarts it had always been Granger and Merlott at the top of the classes, and everyone knew, despite it never being said, that the two were in competition for the best grades.

"Open ya books to page 49" Hagrid shouted over the chattering class once everyone stood around him. Draco, who was just next to y/n, looked down at his monstrous book. They were covered in fur, had beady eyes like a spiders and a large mouth that attacked anyone who tried to forcefully open it, as Neville Longbottom had just discovered. He laid on the ground next to the group of Slytherins, his book biting and ripping at his robes.

"Exactly how do we do that?" Draco spat, looking frustratedly down at the boy on the floor.

"Stroke the spine of course, Merlins Beard Draco you really don't know anything do you" y/n laughed at Draco who was now becoming increasingly redder in the face at her remark. She watched as his silver ring bared fingers slowly moved up and down the soft spine of the book. In response to his touch, it made what sounded like a pleased purring noise, Draco looked over at the smug girl, shooting her an impressed smirk.

The golden trio marched past them as Granger dropped her book onto a large rock, "I think they're funny" she said, in her usual stuck up tone. This caught Malfoys attention, y/n only knew what this meant.

"Oh yeah terribly funny, really witty" he groaned, holding his head high. Y/n couldn't help but join in on the joke, pushing past Draco she said,

"God this place has gone to the dogs!" She spat, tucking a stand of hair behind her ear with a bored expression on her face. The blonde looked at her, impressed.

"Wait until my father hears that Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes" all the Slytherins began laughing along to them both.

It was then y/n saw Harry marching towards them, looking unimpressed as usual, "shut up you two" he grimaced, looking both Merlott and Malfoy up and down. Upon hearing this, the class behind surrounding the three, as though they expected a fight to break out.

Y/n only scoffed, humorously as though she pitied Potter and his silly little friends, which of course, she did. Leaning against a tree, she looked Potter in the eyes and sighed, "not very friendly".

Y/n and Draco both exchanged glances as she passed her bag to Pansy, and Draco passed his to Crabbe. The two laughed and swaggered their way towards Blood-traitor Potter, their eyes looking him up and down intimidatingly. Draco looked up into the distance as a fearful expression washed over his once smug face. Y/n, who had spent a previous afternoon in the school library learning all about the creatures that seemed to terrify Potter, knew to follow his lead and pointed into the air behind scar-head, looking just as frightened.

"D-Dementor dementor!" They both shouted, and Harry snapped his head around to look, his eyes wide with fear and his face more pale than ever. It was a sight not to be missed, all of their friends began howling with laughter and impersonating the dementors with their robe hoods up and their arms waving in the air. Granger pulled Harry away with a nasty look on her face, however y/n was distracted by Draco, actually, smiling at her through his laughs.
