"I'm..sorry I don't really know who you are, though you look sort of familiar?.." I sit down next to his bed impatiently, I need to help him get his memory back. "You're in the hospital because you suffered from a head injury on one of our missions. You're a police officer, you work with me at the bottom floor of the building..remember?" He looked down at the blanket, quickly putting his hands over his ears hunching over "AHH!" he screamed which almost made my heart stop. "KAMBE! ARE- ARE YOU OKAY?! WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" I didn't know what to do, but as soon as he started screaming..

He stopped.

Looks again,

"..Haru...I- I know that name from...somewhere. You said we were co workers? I'm a police officer.." He leans forward, our faces only centimeters apart. "If you don't mind me asking, what was our relationship?"

Oh my god. Wait. Hold on. If he doesn't remember then technically I could say I was his...No! What am I thinking?! Who knows how dangerous it is to mess with someone's memories like this when they forget them!?..but..it shouldn't be that hard to cover up. Right? I'll just ask everyone else to play along. If I tell him I'm his boyfriend..can I also change how he acts? What he thinks of himself and others? He can't remember any of it anyways..

I look at him, inhale, exhale, then smile. 

"I'm your boyfriend, silly."

"Oh! Right..that makes sense." He smiles at me, a genuine smile. "It's nice to see you again, darling." AHHHHHHHHHHH! HE CALLED ME DARLING! AND THAT SMILE WAS SO CUTE SOFMFMOSMFOGMONIUAFYDMODGANIBUVFSCGDSVHBJ. 

"Y-yeah..nice to see you too.." Jeez, was he always this...breath taking? "Soo..Do I have my own house to go to? Or do I live with you?" 

"Ah, well you live with your family but you have come to my house before.."

"Can I go there now??" He smiles at me. God he's so cute.

"Uh- I mean sure but..we should let your family know so they don't worry." Speaking of which, where the hell were they? Certainly they would've visited him..or at least Suzue would. I look around then look at his HEUSC ear piece, "Hey, Kambe can I see that?" I ask pointing to it. "Oh- sure!" He takes out the ear piece and hands it to me. I put it on my ear. "Now how do I...er..oh!" 

"HEUSC, show me recent communications between this signal and others."

"Ok." A whole digital screen popped up in front of me, whoa! This is cool as hell...I wanted to explore all of it, but I needed to know what's going on with his family. I find the communications and..Kambe already messaged them?

"Grandmother and Suzue,

Due to a compromised mission I'm currently in the hospital. Do not panic or send anyone here, I am with Haru and he's staying with me, I made sure the doctors were top quality. Though, I may lose my memory slightly if not severely. Whatever happens, leave it to Haru. He will know what to do. Do not come to me, I will be fine.

Bastard. You're really prepared for everything aren't you? Though I'll admit, it made me giddy with how much trust he was putting in me. I can't disappoint him. I look back at Kambe on the bed, he looks so innocent..

Don't worry Kambe, we'll get through this together. So you can stay by my side.
