Chapter 10

Cyrus' POV

My parents pull in and I feel so nervous. I made sure everything was perfect. I saw TJ's jacket on a chair and I grab it, I decide to run to my room and I throw it in there and run back downstairs. My parents come in as I get to the table, perfecting everything.

"You made us dinner?" My mom asks.
"Yeah, just for us three." I say pulling out my mom's chair, then my dads. I take their jackets.
"What did you make?" My mom asks me.
"I made, Kneidlach, brisket, roasted chicken, and gefilte fish." I say.
"let's see how you did." My dad says. I laugh and come out with gefilte fish.
"Let's eat." I say and sit down.

We finish eating and talking and laughing. "I want to tell you something though." I say looking at my parents.
"What's wrong?" My mom asks me.
"I really like TJ." I pause, they do this look, like great here we go again. I continue "He's moving, and I want to give him something, but I need money. I promise I'll pay you guys back. every penny." 
They laugh at the last part, "Sure. How much?" My dad asks me.
"Really?" I say.
"Yeah, we just glad to have you back." My mom says and we group hug.
"I need $26.00" I say. "I'm ordering the stuff on amazon." 
"Ok, I'll give you my card, and if I see that you spent more than $26.00, then it'll never happen again." My dad says.
"Plus shipping." I say and run upstairs after he gives me his card.
I oder a painting and a wall sticker.

I call Andi and Buffy on video call.
"Hey, Cyrus." Buffy says
"Hey Cyrus." Andi says.
"Do you guys think TJ will like this?" I ask and turn the camera around to show the two things im about to order.
"No" Buffy and Andi says.
"Why? They're thoughtful." I say.
"Because he'll LOVE them." they both say.
"Why are you getting him stuff anyway?" Andi asks me.
"He's moving away." I say kinda sad.
"What? really?" Andi asks. "Why?"
"He told his parents about us, and they weren't happy about it." I say. "But he'll visit and call me." 
"That's good." Andi says.
"Are you sure you can do long distance relationship?" Buffy asks.
"For him I will." I say. "Anyways got to go, love you guys." I hang up.

I didn't think of that, long distance. TJ and I can talk about it later. I order the stuff and it's coming in a couple days. I go bring the card back to my dad. I hear my parents talking. I hide behind the wall.

"Why would you let him get TJ something?" My mom says.
"The kid is leaving, meaning he won't be around much longer, and we can have Cyrus back for good." He says.
"WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT!!???" I yell ask scaring both of them.
"Not like in a bad way." My step-dad says.
"Your just my step-dad anyways. I KNOW my dad would never say that about my BOYFRIEND!" I storm off, and throw the card at him.
"Cyrus." My mom calls me.
I ignore her and grab TJ's jacket and I put it on. It smells just like him. I go back downstairs.
"I'm going out for awhile." I say and leave before my mom or step-dad says anything.

I go to TJ's there are boxes in the lawn. I notice he's not there. I walk around town, I see Marty and Buffy together, I wave at them.
"Hey"Buffy says.
"Have you seen TJ?" I ask her.
"no, sorry." She says.
"ok, have fun." I say and go to the spoon. 

Amber is working today. "Hey Cyrus." She says as I sit alone.
"Hey." I say trying not to sound sad.
"What's wrong?" She asks.
"I want to talk to TJ, but I can't find him." I say.
"He came in with his mom I think." She says. "They were getting food for the road. I think they were going somewhere."
"Thanks. I don't want anything." I say and leave.

I go to TJ's house and I sit in the grass remebering when we first meet.
