"The act of demoralising a person, is to take their morale, and crush it. Without morale, people begin to forget that there are limits to their actions, and lines that they must not cross in society. Lack of morale would normally cause a person to run, retreat, surrender, however you wish to word it. But this time, it's making them feral. They want to fight, and feel free for themselves. They will protest in neighbouring cities, they will riot and loot buildings, and they will end up forming their own group that has its own ideology, and goals. Too many find their own idea of power through these complexes, and too many become hungry for more power. You all need to take a look around you, and realise that the exposure of a Kaimen, as you have experienced now, puts you in a state of war. Words spread so quickly in this day and age, with social media, and emails, and so on, and people do not agree with the unknown, the story will be twisted through the grapevine, and you will end up looking like a target. They will come for you. You can not convince them, you can not beg for mercy. A whole new generation have grown up since the death of Ares, and it takes one generation to change the entire world. Be prepared. Stay safe", Corvus finishes his explanation.
Skylar begins to hug April. "We have one hell of a journey ahead of us, but you need to make sure that Brad stays safe, understand?" She mutters. April nods slightly, as she shakes in fear.
April returns to school the next day, keeping her eye on every single person she passes in the halls, feeling every eye pierce her skin, thinking to herself: "they know". April can hear whispers all around her, like a shroud of darkness around her head. She begins to breathe heavily as the pressure becomes intense, too intense for her to handle, and she runs outside and falls to the ground. "How am I going to protect Brad, when I can't even keep myself going? A panic attack from walking towards people?" She mutters to herself, as she stands up again. April stands still for a moment, and breathes out slowly whilst closing her eyes, feeling the wind slowly brush through her fingers, and her hair blow gently through the wind. Whilst time seamlessly slips by, April's mind stays completely focused, before hearing a yell from the hallway nearby, and her eyes shoot open with a silver glow.
Brad crouches over in the hallway, taking punch after punch from other students. "We saw you changing the other day, and we saw that man come save you. We know you're not like us. Now show us what the hell you are!" The students scream, before pushing him down the ground. Brad's eyes begin to shoot red, and his hair flashes gold momentarily. "That's good, SHOW US!" The students shout. One of the students raise their fist, and quick as a flash, April appears, holding the students arm, however not making eye contact. An almost effortless, but perfect grab. "April.." Brad mutters. The student stands back, and his jaw drops in awe. "Leave him alone. Don't you dare touch him" April says firmly, slowly turning towards the student. Brad looks up, and sees a slight side profile of a silver glimmer from April's eyes. "Your eyes.. you're like him, aren't you?! You're one of those creatures!" The student shouts. April stares through him, before turning around, and picking up Brad.
April walks through the door, with Brad slouching over his back. Skylar rushes through the hall, and stares April in the eyes, noticing the silver glimmer, as it quickly fades. April grunts slightly, and falls to the ground. "Just as I suspected" Corvus says loudly. Skylar stares at him, confused. "It's Ares' daughter. There's a link there to a Kaimen who managed to access techniques used by Gods, you think his offspring wouldn't inherit the same natural ability? Or perhaps.." Corvus continues. "Perhaps what?!" Skylar shouts. "Perhaps, Ares knows what is coming, and passed on some power to his daughter" Corvus explains. Skylar pushes Corvus up against the wall, and screams. "STOP IT. JUST STOP. ARES IS DEAD, AND HE HAS BEEN FOR A LONG TIME!" Corvus pushes her hand off, and flashes his purple, destructive aura. "You will not lay your hand on me like that again, understand mortal? You had best listen to me. Me and Ziis have recently detected a massive surge in energy, and we know for a fact it is him. We, as Gods, can individually sense out someone's power and energy. You and me both know that there was no power that came anywhere close to Ares', he won the entire Tournament of Strength with the power of Perfected Ultimate Instinct. It seems as though April here, achieved what appears to be a lesser form of it. She let go of herself in the moment, absolutely content and at one with the area around her, detached from herself, free from her own mind to act as she pleases. But with very, very little control over the power she possesses. Hence, only her eyes changed silver. No aura, no hair change. Although, it is certainly a development that demands attention, whether it was Ares passing on power or not." Corvus finishes his explanation.
Skylar stares in shock at the two youngsters collapsed on the floor. "This is really happening, isn't it Corvus? Everyone is realising that there are more races, species, everything, living alongside the human race. And some people aren't going to agree with cohabitation, to them it's their world, and always has been, and always will be. No matter the cost" she asks. Corvus sighs, and nods his head slightly.
