The next few months went on the same way. You'd have your morning classes, meet up with the Weasley twins, eat lunch with your brother and sneak out to hang out at the Slytherin Common room. Slowly, you started making friends from around the castle, making a small group of friends from all houses.
Even though your numbers may vary, the main people included were you, Ginny, Luna Lovegood, a ravenclaw you shared Transfiguration and Charms with, Poppy Edgecombe, a Hufflepuff you'd met in Herbology, and Michael Grunnion, a Slytherin Draco introduced you to. Ginny came to be like a mother to the group, but none of you minded. Poppy and Luna passed most of their time making animal shaped cookies for everyone and Michael made sure we all got our homework done. You spent most of your time talking to Draco, who tagged along more often than not. You were happy.
You were making your way to the Ravenclaw's common room when you found your brother jogging up to you.
"(Y/n)! There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you!" Harry panted. You could tell it wasn't anything serious, so you waited for him to continue. "You know how there's a Quidditch match on Saturday, right?"
"Yeah, it's all you've managed to talk about in the past week, what's wrong?" You asked. The match was in the next two days, Slytherin vs. Gryffindor. Both your brother and Draco had been working and preparing for the game, leaving you to hang out with the group more often than ever.
"Well, I just got a letter from Mum and Dad saying that they're coming with Moony and Pads to watch!"
You stared at him for a bit before smiling as widely as humanly possible. You hadn't seen your family in forever! You wondered if your uncles would be up to getting interviewed by the twins. You were ecstatic!
"Really?! That's great news! I'll finally be able to give the Weasley's the interview I promised them!" You jumped happily when you noticed your brother stare at you weirdly.
"Why do you owe them an interview?" He raised an eyebrow upon seeing you tense up.
"Well, I kind of promised not to tell, but, basically, they found something very useful that we think used to be our uncles'" Harry stared at you, knowing you had kept out a lot of information, but brushed it of as your loyalty to your friends.
"Well, I don't think they'll mind the recognition, so go at them!" Harry gave you a thumbs up before walking you the rest of the way to your hang out.
Unsurprisingly, Harry was a-ok with you hanging out with your friends as long as they weren't part of Draco's group. While you were somewhat annoyed at this, you knew it was your best chance at hanging out with anyone at all. That plus he never tagged along to the hang outs, leaving Draco to come whenever he wished. You still sneaked out from time to time, but it started happening less and less with the disguise of hanging with "The O.M.G.", the overly magical group. The name in it of itself was horrible, but no one could say no when Poppy proposed the idea
He left you at the entrance and continued on his way to practice, knowing he would need it for the upcoming game. You waved him off before knocking on the door four times, letting Luna know you where there. It was sort of like a secret code that you used to not have to answer riddles every day.
"Why, hello (Y/n)! How have you been today?" Luna asked in her sing-song tone. She may appear to be weird from time to time, but she definitely grew on you.
"I've been great thank you very much. Just learned my family was coming over to see my brother play Quidditch." You answered while taking a seat on one of the seating pillows laying on the floor.
"Really now? Do you think they would like a cookie? Poppy and I have been at it for hours" The blond said while pointing towards the messy counter. While yes, the common rooms weren't allowed kitchens, a sixth year Hufflepuff brought a portable oven in his trunk that you borrowed often. The blue carpet was drenched in flour, the table barely had any space for books and on the side was the miniature oven. How have we gotten away with such messes? You frequently asked yourself.
