There once were two brothers, one strong-willed and wise, the other impulsive and ruthless. They were on a trip to meet the women they had been betrothed to. They knew they did not love them; it made the brothers unhappy, for they wanted to marry women that loved them and would care for them.On their journey, they sailed past a large island. This island was abundant of green, unlike the war-infested lands they were accustomed to. Gold dribbled from the trees and shrubs like water drops. Purple, yellow, and red flowers seem to dance across the shore as the wind blew through them. In what appeared to be the exact center was a palace of gold and ivory that shined in the sun's rays.
Astonished by the beauty, they stopped. 'Who cared if they were late to meet women who didn't care for them' they thought. Upon making it to the shore, they began stumbling to the golden trees in amazement.
When they finally had reached the trees, the second brother went to touch the gold drops. A voice cold and angry, seemed to echo from all over the island, spoke," If you wish to keep your hands, continue your journey and meet your betrothed, you will stay away from my treasures and leave my home."
The brothers looked around in fear and curiosity; after some time, the first brother spoke, "We apologize for our invasion, we wish you, nor your island harm. We will leave you now." He stated with confidence.
The other brother looked at him with eyes of shock and worry. "We must leave this island now." He stated as he ran in terror to the ship.
The first followed calmly, knowing that they had followed her wishes and have nothing to fear. The brothers got on their vessel and continued on their journey, for it was long.
