Chapter 3 - first day

   As soon as Venus opens her beautiful blue eyes, she realizes that it is her first day of school. She gets out of bed, looks at her sister, Vega who is still sleeping and then goes to the bathroom, just to look at herself in the mirror for a while. She was too nervous to go to school, with normal people. Would she even fit in? 

  She opens the door and comes out of the bathroom. Vega had woken up and was already getting ready. She looks at Venus and says: - I'm so excited for today! I'm sure I'll make many friends. - Venus smiles and nods, but really she is still nervous.

  Zeke and Libra come to the room. - Are you ready girls? - Says Libra with excited voice. - Do we really have to go mom? - Says Venus with a little disappointed face. - Of course we do! Now put on your big girl face and let's go there, okay? - Says Vega and without waiting for an answer, she grabs Venus's hand. - Ow! 

  Girls! Stop arguing. Go there and be yourselves. Remember, do not change for anyone! - Says Zeke kindly and hands them backpacks with some school supplies that they had just bought from Target. - Do we have to go? Nervously asks Venus. - Sweetie, trust me, you'll be okay.

   They open big glass doors and go inside. They stand there for a while looking around. Vega's happy, she knows that she's going to make many friends. Venus, on the other hand is paranoid, she thinks everyone's judging her.

   Suddenly, Venus sees a girl running up to her. She looks like an angel, with her sparkling blue eyes, beautiful curly brown hair, freckles on her red cheeks. Before Venus can say anything, the girl starts talking: - Hi! I'm Felicity, Felicity Nelson. What's your name? Where are you from? How old are you? - She notices that Venus is very confused. - Oh sorry, I just get excited when I see someone new. - Venus smiles. - It's okay. I'm Venus by the way. - Like a planet? That is so cool and unique. - Vega feels ignored, rolls her eyes and goes away to interact with other people.

  - Come, I'll show you around. -  Said Felicity as they walk down the hallway. Venus smiles at her when she notices that a blonde guy with blue eyes is staring at her. Venus asks Felicity: - Who is that and why is he staring at me? - Oh that? That's Oliver Carter. He's a pretty weird guy and doesn't usually talk to anyone. He never makes eye contact with anyone, you're special. He probably likes you or something. - Oh, - Says Venus with smiley and nervous face at the same time.

  Suddenly, the bell rings. - Oh, I got to go to the class, bye! I'll see you later. - Says Felicity as she runs to the class. School halls are empty now. Venus is just standing there, confused. Oliver is still watching her. Suddenly, he comes up to her, grabs her by her arm and is taking her somewhere. - What are you doing?! Let me go, now! - yells Venus, but nobody's there. Only Oliver and her. Oliver pushes her into his locker and then goes in himself. The locker wall opens and they go in a secret room. Oliver went first, then Venus. Venus tripped and fell on him. Her cheeks turns red with embarrassment. Oliver's shocked. He is blushing a little. - I am so sorry! - Says Venus, who's still red. She stands up. - No, it's okay. It was an accident. - Says Oliver with a little smile on his face.

  - You're probably wondering why did I bring you here. - Goes Oliver. - Of course I am, you basically kidnapped me and shoved me in your locker. - Angrily says Venus. - I'm sorry about that. - You better be. - Says Venus, who's still mad at Oliver. - I need you to do me a favor, well technically yourself, because I'm helping you. - Continues Oliver. - And, why should I trust you? - First of all, you don't really have a choice, and second, I'll explain after. - He continues. - Okay, - Says Venus, but she's still not sure about it. - So what do I need to do? - She asks.

  - First of all, do you fully trust me? - Asks Oliver. - I mean, I guess. - Okay, good. Now what you need to do is close your eyes and say "Disguise me" three times. - Says Oliver. Venus closes her eyes and repeats "Disguise me" three times, like she was told to. Suddenly, her hair turns brown, her eyes - green. She looks in the mirror that was hanging on the wall in the secret room. She screams: What happened to my naturally blue hair and purple eyes! What did you do?! - Calm down, Venus. You'll be fine. - Oliver calms her down. - What?! I never told you my name. - Says Venus. - Okay, let me explain..
