There comes a time when you become so old that remembering things becomes a chore. But I remember my days as a Hunter like they were yesterday, even though I know it was longer ago than some people will even live in this wretched world.

Back in those days it was a normal thing for you to be traveling and come across a settlement that had been overtaken by a virus that made all the townspeople to become braindead, hungry savages. But their hunger could only be settled by the taste of flesh, which they craved constantly.

I still shiver to this day at the thought of their grunting, gurgling noises. Every once in a while they would let out a cough, or, when they would spot us, they would let out a sound that was somewhere between a gurgle and a bellow.

The first reports of creatures came after the end of the American Civil War. Thirty years later and they were still running rampant. Perhaps more than ever. And they had more company. Big company.

The company were creatures, but worse. Every one of them stood at least 9 feet tall and, boy, were they fast. Many hunters have died trying to take them down. Which is where I begin my story...
