"Hi, goodmorning! you're awake" Oh that girl again. Still not facing me. Nahihiya ba sya? At teka, siya yung unang nag-greet? Once in a blue moon lang 'to mag-goodmorning sa'kin, ah!
"Goodmorning to you too " sabi ko naman dito.
"How's your feeling now?" she said as usual.
"Better than i deserve", sagot ko naman agad.
"Okay, good".
Yan lang at hindi na naman sya nagsalita. As usual, Jake.
"Um, can I ask something? Pwede bang malaman kong taga san ka? Parang hindi kasi kita kilala. At nakatalikod ka pa? What's with that position? Are you shy? or what?"
"Why? I just like watching people do their thing below", good point, weird girl. And good yan na ata ang pinakamahabang salitang sinabi nya. Keep her talking, Jake. Yeah, i like her angelic voice.
"You don't know me, don't you?" tanong nya. Impressive! she's really talking with me now. Hindi lang 'goodmorning' 'hi' o di kaya 'how's your feeling?' pala ang alam nito.
"Seriously? You're asking me if i had known you?", she nodded.
"Well, the answer is a big no! Who are you? You're so weird. Hindi mo man lang ako tinitignan", may halong inis na turan ko.
"We're friends since grade school, Jake"
"Oh? Sorry but I really don't know you. Name please"
"You hurt my feelings", sabi nito na may halong lungkot. Not answering what i'm asking. Wow.
"How come i hurt you?", naguguluhan ko namang tanong dito.
"We're best of friends, Jake"
"I think you misunderstood. For my entire life i had only one freakin' bestfriend ; a beautiful and an amazing one! How come you're my friend? and you mean best of friends?! that's wow!", i told her with my sarcastic tone. I just can't hold my temper. Nakakainis na ang pagiging misteryosa nya.
"I'm sorry", she sounds sincere when she said that. Bigla naman akong nakonsensya sa pag-uugali ko.
"No, i'm sorry. Hindi ko lang mapigilan ang sarili ko", i said trying to deliver it without sarcasm and with sincerity.
Ilang minuto rin nang magsalita ito ulit.
"You tell me about her"
Napalingon naman ako dito. That's the cue like i really want to share to her everything about Kate. I don't know why. Bored? Enthusiastic? Willingness?
