Annie and Kate walked up to their class. They sat on the third last bench. They both were inseparable.
“Tell me more about him.” Kate asked as they waited for their teacher to come in.
“Whom are you talking about?” Annie asked her as id she did not know what she was talking about. She very well knew she was talking about Eric.
“You very well know… Don’t you?” Kate eyed her.
“No. I really don’t” Annie said as she took out her books and placed them on the table getting ready for her Math’s class.
“Eric Evans. The one I’m talking about.” Kate said rolling her eyes.
“Oh.” Was the only thing Annie could speak out.
She then smiled at the thought of his photographs she went through when she first added him. The one in which he was wearing a blue navy shirt and black jeans in which looked absolutely …well cute and handsome and adorable and…well the list was endless.
“Oh my! Now why are you smiling?” Kate asked totally enjoying this moment of Annie denying things and well actually blushing for the time in her entire life.
Kate smiled and then suddenly came the teacher ending her excitement.
The teacher started off with her lectures. Annie was happy for the first time in life as the teacher came in. Annie smiled and then started off with her studies.
Annie was till confused. Did she really like him? He was smart, cool and mot of all sweet. Annie quickly pushed her thoughts away. She couldn’t be thinking about it now not in her class of course.
The class ended after an hour and it was time to go home. The day was passing quickly.
Kate and Annie collected their books and went off home. They walked down the street talking about Kate’s holiday laughing and talking. Annie was happy that Kate had totally forgotten about Eric.
They reached Kate’s place.
“Bye Ann ! And well say ‘Hello’ to your boyfriend!” Kate said grinning.
“Boyfriend?” Annie asked confused.
“Eric I mean.” Kate said grinning like an idiot.
“I told you he isn’t anything to me. He’s just JUST a friend.” Annie clarified.
“As if… Anyways I’m gonna add him later today. See u online. Bye!” Kate said giving Annie a brief hug and rushed into her house.
Annie smiled and went home. She opened the door to find Daniel sitting on the couch reading a book.
“Welcome home sis!” Daniel greeted her smiling.
“Hey!” Annie said smiling back.
“How was your day?” Daniel asked as he kept his newspaper down.
“Good. Kate’s back so yeah it was epic.” Annie said grinning.
“That’s cool. What would you like to eat?” Daniel asked getting up.
“Anything available.” Annie replied as she kept her bag down and sat on the couch.
“Alright then.” Daniel said and went off the kitchen.
Annie sat down and she couldn’t get Kate’s saying to her today out of her head. Did she really like him? Was he the one? No no Annie shook her head and let out a sigh. What was she gonna do with this mess.
Daniel appeared with a plate of cookies and a glas of grape juice.
“Here you go little sis.” Daniel said handing over the tray to her.
Annie took the tray as Daniel sat next to her.
“Can I ask you something?” Annie asked as she took a sip of her juice.
“Yes anything.” Daniel replied.
“When did you realize you were um.. you know in love with Jessica?” Annie asked as she ate her cookie.
“Well it was something new. I never felt that way for anyone like I did for her. I thought about her day and night at home and in school as well. At first I denied the fact that I did not like her but you know eventually I understood. But why are you suddenly interested?”
Daniel asked laughing lightly.
“Just curious.” Annie muttered.
“Really?” Daniel said eyeing her.
“Really.” Annie replied.
Daniel went back to his reading. Annie finished her cookies and juice and went up to her room.
Annie changed into her shorts and shrt. She sat on the bed and started doing her homework. After she was don she went online.
There was 2 messages. One from Kate and one from Eric.
She opened Kate’s message and read
‘ hey ! I gotta talk to him! He’s totally cool and PERFECT FOR YOU!! AND GUESS WHAT HE LIKES YOU !!!”
Annie stared at the screen. She’s gotta be kidding. What? How? When?
she closed her message and then opened up Eric’s message-
‘You have a good friend Kate. And hope she conveyed my message to you ;) Waiting for you answer. Remember my life depends on it.’
What ? Annie couldn’t help with smile. She turned all red. He liked her !
Annie was so happy that she kept smiling and thanking god.
And that was the moment she really relied she like him no Loved him.
