The smoke from the Hogwarts Express filled the air of 9 ¾, the station was crowded to an enormous level and as Draco Malfoy fought through the crowd, he lost his parents in the massive group of people. That's OK, he thought to himself.. less kisses from his Mother. He was in front of the bright red train, his eurasian eagle-owl and trunk beside him. This was it, he could escape his parents once and for all. "And get rid of all the half bloods," he muttered under his breath. His Father had made it very clear how he treated people, it was simple really. If they were a full-blood wizard, then they were fine. But, if they were half-bloods then well... they were nothing, not even a wizard. "Don't talk to them," Malfoy's Father had said. He wasn't going to talk to them, not even look at them. He looked to his right side, a blonde brown eyed girl was standing just a few feet from him. He laughed at her, the girl's Mother was squishing her face and talking to the poor girl in a babyish voice. She glared at him in return. Out of nowhere, Draco's Mother was right in front of him. "Draco, there you are, I was looking everywhere for you!" she said frantically. The Hogwarts Express whistle blew, announcing that it was leaving soon. "Well, I better get on" he said quickly, trying to escape his Mother's love fest. He took only a few steps forward before Narcissa caught his arm. "Not so fast," she said, and pulled him into a hug. Before he could stop it, his Mother had graduated from a hug and had moved on to the face squishing. The girl was laughing at him now and his cheeks turned bright red. Once again, the whistle blew announcing the final boarding, "Go!" Draco's Father said and pushed him aboard the train. Behind him the still laughing girl boarded through the same entrance. They both entered a long corridor with doors leading into berths. There was only one empty berth left and he and the girl had to share one. They both sat down and put their belongings above them on the racks. There was an awkward silence until the girl spoke, "My name is Astoria Greengrass, and yes I am a full-blood." she announced to Draco. "My name is Draco Malfoy and I'm a full-blood too, I would hate being a filthy half-blood" he added. "Sooo, what house is your family so far?" she asked. "Slytherin" he replied, the words sliding proudly out of his mouth. "Well, I think we may be more alike than we think," she said. "I think so too" he said happily, he reached towards her to shake her hand, she instantly shook it. It had only been a couple minutes and two Slytherin families had been united with friendship, one that would be a threat to Hogwarts in the future.
