Chapter 102: Youkai Encounter II

*(Whoosh!)*

A raven youkai tried to hit Erin with the weapon he was holding but the Goddess ducked in reflex.

" Azusa, Tsubaki! We need to avoid them!"

" Hai!"

" Chase them!" The fox girl shouted and the enemies ran after the trio.

Their chase led them to a forest-like place where many trees are in view.

Erin and the twins jumped above the enemies who tried to restrain them. Azusa delivered an ice beam which froze the enemies' feet.

The fox girl gritted her teeth at this and ordered her group to run faster. The raven youkais became more aggressive as they used their wings to race to the front and block the trio's path.

" Downwards!" Erin motioned and the trio did a tumble as they slid down the steep path. They avoided the youkais who tried to grabbed them from above.

They quickly regained their reflexes once they reached the bottom ground. The Goddess used the tree as a base and flipped backwards as she avoided the spears of the enemies.

" Take this!" Tsubaki said and released a fire ball. Some of the raven youkais fell down from the impact

"Why you...." the fox girl was enraged and her comrades tried to stab the trio with their sword.

*(Ching!)*

" Irina-san! Xenovia-san!" Erin said in relief after the girls blocked the attack

" Are you all right, Erin?" Xenovia asked.

"We're fine."

" Those people are Youkai, right?" Issei asked once he and Asia approached the group.

*(Land!)*

" Impure existences of evil, I will never forgive you!" The fox girl shouted as she motioned for her comrades to attack.

"Fight them!"

*(Whoosh!)*

The group fought the enemies and the Goddess spoke amidst the battle.

" This is Kyoto! Please try your best to not harm our opponents or the buildings!"

" ROGER!"

"[BOOST!]"

" Haah! Take this!" Xenovia and Irina said as they fended off the enemies using their swords

"[ Explosion!]" Issei directed his gear to the enemies approaching him which effectively blasted them away.

*(CHING!)*

The Goddess activated her gear and the gem glowed as she prepared her attack. She closed her eyes and raised an arm as she sang some lines. The gear amplified her voice and the enemies froze in their position as they got affected by the music waves

"W-What's happening?" The fox girl said in slight panic as her comrades stood still.

" And drop." Erin declared with a snap of her finger. The enemies fell to the ground and the fox girl widened her eyes at this.

" Y-You.. You evil existences! I will have you give back my mother!" She pointed an accusing finger at the group and a strong whirlwind enveloped her. The enemies who dropped to the ground vanished one after the other

" What was that all about?" Asia mumbled after the fight ended

The Goddess informed Azazel about their encounter with the Youkais. The Fallen was surprised at the info and questioned the girl further
