A small mermaid

Chapter 3

When we wake up we eat some breakfast then jump straight into the water.

We swam to the other moon pool and saw a very distressed Nixie, Lyla, and Sirena. "What's wrong?" Jenna asked. Sirena blurts out sobbing "A boy fell into the moon pool!" My eyes grow wide. Zac was here. The mermaids there were wrong, it was my brother. I act as if I had no idea who though. Meli asks "What did he look like?" Nixie answered "I don't know brown hair brown eyes, kinda of muscular."

I bite my lip and said "We have to go home, but we will be back I promise." and swim away, with the others following me.

I get in Zac's cabin and exhale. I say "Jenna, we have to at least tell her?" Melinda looks confused. She nods and I says "When I transformed, the mermaids there knew why my tail was blue. It was blue because a boy that I loved was going to become one. They said it was going to be someone I fall in love with. There was a tiny chance that it was a brother or father. So I always kept my eyes on my boyfriends and crushes, not because they were a sight, but to see if there were any changes. You know, mermaid signs. I never saw any though."

She takes this all in and then says "Why didn't you guys tell me?" Jenna answers "It was my idea. I wanted to keep it a secret all we could enjoy our time together as mermaids. Not worrying about anything, but our tails."

We then have a group hug.
