Three Months Contract (On hold for a while)

Chapter 6

I woke up when I heard someone banging on my door continuously, I got off my bed and I said, "Coming!"

The moment I opened the door, I saw the same house cleaner who I met yesterday, she says, "Ma'am, Mrs. Sen asked for you in the dining room for breakfast."

I stifled my yawn while asking her, "What time is it now?"

"It's 7 a.m." She says.

"7 a.m.?" I asked her in shock while she nods her head and she looks at me in worry.

She asked, "Is there any problem ma'am?"

I shake my head and I said, "No problem. Tell her that I'll be there in ten minutes."

She nods her head and said, "Yes, Ma'am."

She takes her to leave and I closed the door hurriedly. I mentally slapped myself for oversleeping, I went towards my suitcase to take my things, and I took my toiletries bag with me to the bathroom. I first brushed my teeth in two minutes and then I went into the shower hurriedly. I applied the body wash on the Loofah and hurriedly washed myself up in like five minutes.

After the shower, I dried myself up with my pink towel, I wore the other Salwar suit I brought, and then I went towards the dining room. I saw his mom sitting there waiting for me and then I said, "I'm sorry for coming late. I overslept."

"It's okay beta. I knew that you were working last night. The breakfast is ready. Have a seat." She gestures me towards the seat beside her and then I sat while I heard Siddhanth saying, "Good morning everyone."

He looks at me and says, "Good Morning Avantika!"

I tried to smile at him and said, "Morning."

He nods his head while sitting in the chair in front of me. His mom looks at me and then at him and she asks, "Did something happen between you two?"

We both then in unison said, "Nope, Nothing happened."

She looks at me and then asks, "Nothing happened between you two, right?"

I nod my head and then said, "Everything is fine."

She smiles at us while saying, "Okay. Let's have breakfast now."

While having our breakfast, she asked, "So you are going to the office today Avantika?"

I nod my head and said, "Yes, but if you want to I'll stay."

She smiles and then said, "No, it's okay. I want you to go to work."

She then looks at Siddhanth and asked, "Is she going to come with you in your car?"

Siddhanth was looking at me and said, "Yes. I'll take her with me."

"Nice, you are doing a good job." She says and after that, we had our breakfast in silence.

After breakfast, I was on my way to my room when someone held my hand and said, "I need to talk to you about something."

It was Siddhanth and he dragged me towards his room. When we both came to his room, he caged me and asked, "Did you read the contract carefully?"

I shake my head and I said, "I don't remember it but I think I've read some parts of it."

"Then why did you sign it if you haven't read it." He says.

"I did that because I wanted to get over it. It's not like I'll Sue you or anything." I tell him.

He sighs in annoyance and then says, "No, tell me the truth, why did you sign it in the first place?"
