"Avantika, hurry! We are getting late for the office!" I heard Siddhanth yell from downstairs and I hurriedly applied my lip balm before putting that in the bag while making my way toward him.

As I got out of my room where I have been living for one month now. Gosh, it's one month already! I looked at Siddhanth in the suit that he wears whenever there was an important meeting in the office.

How do I know you may ask? Well, he specifically asked me if he should wear this suit or not last night.

Ever since that talk, we had that day in my room after getting his advice on what to do with dad's health. We have been talking to each other a lot. Like a lot.

He has been spending a lot more time in my room once we come from the office and we usually spend that time talking to each other about anything. I even made him watch so many Indian movies I like so far in the few weeks. Turns out, he hasn't watched Indian movies that much while growing up.

As he looked at me while I was walking toward him, a smile formed on his lips and he says, "You are getting lazier day by day."

"Hey! It's not my fault that you were talking to me till 2 a.m." I retorted back and stifle a yawn. "Because of you, I will be feeling sleepy throughout the day."

He chuckles beside me and says, "Well, I did ask you if you want to sleep or not but you keep insisting on talking until I feel tired. Why did you do that, Avantika?" He smirks and leans toward me but I pushed him away from me.

"I did that because I know you have Insomnia," I whispered to him and he shakes his head.

"You don't have to stay awake for me, I told you already that I have been getting my amount of sleep nowadays." He says and he smiles a little to himself while whispering. "That kind of sleep that even makes me stay in the bed for a long period."

"You are talking to yourself and you think that you are getting a normal amount of sleep? I think you should check yourself with a sleep doctor." I suggested to him and he shakes his head while commenting. "I don't need anyone else's help. Now, if you are done talking, can we leave?"

"Aye Aye! Captain!" I saluted him and he laughs at my gesture. We both got out of his house and made our way toward the parking lot.

As his mom has gone somewhere for a week, she couldn't meet us today. I was sad because I finally got to see some development between Siddhanth and her as he was talking nicely to her and treating her nicely but she has to go to meet a person who knows something about Siddhanth's father's death. She told me but she hasn't told him about this as the topic about his father always ends up bad.

When we were in the parking lot, he stops me and intertwined his hands with mine. "After the meeting, can we go out someplace to eat?" He asks and started scratching his neck, "I heard there is a new place just close to the office where we could have lunch. Sahil said that the place is good."

I mentally looked at my to-do list for today and remembered that I am free. Maybe, I should go with him. "Okay. I am free at that time, so yeah, we can go."

He smiles wide at this and in a second hugs me tightly. I awkwardly hug him a little and say, "Okay... You don't have to be this excited for a lunch. It's not like it is a date or something, Siddhanth."

He froze a little and break the hug while looking at me with his wide eyes. "Yeah, it's not like this is a date, right..." he says and started walking towards the car.

I thought we girls are moody but turns out that guys are moody as well. It's not like I like him or anything. It's just... Shanaya would kill me if I broke the promise I gave her and besides, I have someone with whom I can go out on dates in the future.
