Chapter 8

Adhira P.O.V

The alarm ticks off making me jump out of my peaceful sleep. I squint my eyes and the pain in my head intensifies. My pillow was spread on the ground and my leg hanging off of my bed.

"Dad." I whine looking at the time saying nine. Fuck I was missing class.

I ran to the my window to see my dad's car gone. I guess maybe he wanted me to stay home then. Across the way a very familiar car was parked there. The red car was shinning, but it couldn't be who I thought it was.

I walked down the hallway with my fists clenched ready to punch or defend myself. I looked around to see no one. I sighed and turned around falling backwards and almost hitting my head on the hardwood floor, but I rough hand grabbed my waist and protected my head as we both fall down on the ground.

In self defense I tried to wiggle my way out, but that person wrapped their hand on my mouth so I couldn't talk.

"Shhhh Adhira, it's me." Apollo says looking down at my terrified face.

I stopped to look up at those brown eyes as I got lost in them. He gently took his hand off my mouth and layer on top of me forgetting that he was staring right at my lips.

He blinked two times and snapped out of it. He got up off of me and picked me up on my feet. I could have looked better but my hair was in a messy bun and my pajamas were short.

"I didn't know I would scare you that much." He chuckled backing away from me.

"What are you doing at my house?" I crease my eyebrows and cross my arms.

"Your dad owed me money." He smirked looking down at my annoyed face.

"Now you know how it felt when you showed up at my house." He tilted his head leaning his arm by my head on the wall.

"What do you mean my dad owed you money?" I shake my head and try to get out of his hold but he only pushed me further into the wall.

"None of your business actually, but he said he would trust me to watch over you while he's on a business trip." He smirked and shrugged his shoulders.

"For the next two days princess your with me." He said running his thumb on my lips. He stared at me and leaned closer in while looking into my eyes.

"Lucky you." He smiled and stayed there for a second then walked into the kitchen.

Well my day definitely just got worse.

I watched as he put his food on the plate. It was nice of him to make spaghetti, but I couldn't concentrate on what I should be. His tattoos and messy hair, with his ripped up black jeans and white t-shirt. What had my dad done that I had to deserve this horrible reality.

"You know taking a picture lasts longer right?" He squints his eyes up at me and looks back down.

I'm pretty sure my whole face was as red as a beet. I leaned on my hand and looked down at the table playing with my moon necklace.

"I wasn't staring at you." I lie and shake my head. I heard him sit down next to me and his plate hit the table along with mine in front of me.

We sat in silence eating the food. I was surprised that it was amazing. I felt him looking at every move I made. I couldn't believe that something like this would happen or that I would be spending time with the one person I thought didn't like me.

"What?" I ask moving my head and chewing the noodles in my mouth.

"Nothing." I he only smiled and began eating his food.

"I never asked you why you hate me." I state and lean my elbows on the table.

"I don't hate you Adhira." He shakes his head and looks up at me.

"Sure you don't, you only stalked me, yell at me for something I couldn't control-." I tried to go on, but he interrupted me.

"Trust me if you knew why I do those things your not ready for the truth." He scoffs and takes another big big bite of his food.

"Fine." I sigh and get up out of my chair.

"Good night Apollo." I smile and walk away from him. I see as he smiles shaking his head and biting his lip.

So maybe I was starting to think this was more than a friendship to him.
