CHAPTER 5 : A DEVELOPING CRUSH

The next day had come and Nishikata was walking to school. It had been a while since he changed routes to school to avoid Takagi. He thought to himself as he walked : " Ugh.... that Takagi b*tch is not gonna leave me alone, is she ?..... Just why..... why does she like teasing me so much.....? Hmph ! 'Your reactions are priceless' ; my ass !! F*cking sl*t ! "

He continued walking until he heard someone's footsteps behind him. But before he could turn around, the person hugged him from behind. He then suddenly heard a sweet honey-like voice : "HELLO.... " He then slowly turned around to see it was Yuri. He suddenly felt a huge blush form on his face. He replied : " H-Hi..."

She then let go of him and stood infront of him. Nishikata was trying his best to avoid eye contact. Seeing this, Yuri stepped closer to him and said while looking into his eyes : "Hey, why do you always keep your gaurd up ? I don't bite, you know.... "

Nishikata couldn't find the right words : " I...... uh..... " But before he could say anything, Yuri said as she smiled : " Hm.... lemme guess....., it's about Takagi chan, right ? " But to her surprise, Nishikata responded quickly  as he walked off : " Ok bye. "

Seeing this, Yuri quickly ran over to him and grabbed onto his hand. She said while giggling at the same time :
" Hang on silly, I'm sorry okay ? I was just messing with you.... " As soon as Nishikata saw her sweet and innocent smile, he decided to forgive her. He said : "Okay, but please don't repeat it. I'm serious. "  " No I won't. " She replied with a cute smile.

For the next few minutes, they walked together in silence. But all of a sudden, Yuri stopped walking. "Wh-what happened? " Nishikata asked. She then slowly came closer to him and said as she looked into his eyes : "Can I ask you something.....? "
" S-Sure, go on..... " Nishikata responded nervously.

That being said, Yuri slowly wrapped her arms around Nishikata. She looked into his eyes and said with a slight blush on her face : " My hands feel a bit cold today..... So I was wondering...... " Yuri continued as Nishikata gulped ".......if you could hold my hand as we walk to school...."

Nishikata's face exploded with a crimson hue. He wanted to do it, but at the same time......., he didn't. He was really embarrassed, though he had already held her hand before. It's just that, walking home, while holding hands was not THAT embarrassing since the chances of them being noticed by their classmates or friends weren't that high. But going to school like that was an entirely different thing. What if their classmates saw them ? They would TOTALLY get the wrong idea.

Nishikata was struggling to find the right words. Yuri pulled herself closer to him and asked : " So......? " Nishikata was blushing so hard that he couldn't even think straight. Both of them were standing in the middle of the road, practically hugging and staring at each other. How could it get any more embarrassing ?

But before he could say anything, both of them heard someone calling over to them : " Hey guys ! " They looked over to see it was Takagi. Nishikata had no idea how she found out his new route but he was not gonna stand around to find out.

He suddenly grabbed onto to Yuri's hand and said : " You said you wanted me to hold your hand, right ? Alright then, let's go ! " That being said, Nishikata walked away with Yuri as fast as he could. At first, Yuri was a bit confused but soon enough, caught up to the situation. She walked alongside Nishikata, holding his hand and not looking back.

But Takagi wasn't gonna give up either. She ran over to them and stood infront of them, blocking their way. She looked over to Nishikata and said : " Nishikata please.... I just wanna talk to you..... " But Nishikata ignored her. Takagi wasn't ready to give up. She continued : " Nishikata, I said I'm sorry. Please forgive me.....I beg you..... " But Nishikata still didn't respond. Yuri was just standing there and trying to work out what was going on.
