04 Night at the Museum

The silhouette of the national museum of natural history of France came into view. It was might-night so the streets of Paris where a ghost town, well this part of Paris.

Murray was driving the van while Bentley was on the back trying to hack the fire wall of the museum security, especially were they had the clockwerks parts.

So.. I know your confused right know cause if clockwerk was a human with bones and all, how the hell am I talking about him as a machine with wires and all.

Well let me tell you a story and that story is about my family, so let's start from the beginning.

For centuries my family has specialized in stealing from criminals. After all, there's no honor, no challenge, no fun in stealing from ordinary people. So if you rip off a master criminal you know you're a master thief and what does this has to do with clockwerk?

Well.. just like my family his had the motto of destroying the Cooper name. That's why they created that machine with the body of an owl to hunt down the coopers at night during a heist.

But to Clement Clockwerk that mechanical bird was useless against my father cause he always found a way out of his claws.

So he decided to go with a different approach and that's when he stole the thievius racconus from my father's hands and killed him in the process but he never thought that I would of continue the legacy even with out the book cause he thought that the book made us into master thief.

But in reality being a thief is in the Cooper blood.

That's how the guy's and I ended up running around the world looking for the pieces of the book but that's another story for another day.

So let's go back to the present.

They where displaying the mechanical bird in there new Russian history that they were opening in a couple of weeks according to Carmelita's files.

"Guys." Bentley said making me turn around in my sit to face him. "I hacked the secretary sistema in the east-side of the museum where the dinosaurs exhibit is and where you are going to enter but I can't get in on the laser beam on the hallway to go to the russian display."

I could see he was frustrated cause the plan wasn't going as he planned.

"So what do you need us to do for you to hack into that part of the secretary system." I asked.

Murray had already park the van on one of the alleys just across the museum. His gaze was now toward Bentley waiting for him to answer my question.

"I need to hack the panel on the safari exhibit." He muttered.

Murray and I looked at him wide eyed. We couldn't believe he was going to be in the field with us for the first time since we started.

"Stop looking at me like that." He shouted with his arm cross to his chest with a pouty expression on his face that only made me want to laugh. "The plan is still the same, only that am going in with Murray and he is going to get me to the safari exhibit before he goes knocking out the guards and meets with you later."

"Yes!" Murray and I said simultaneously with amusement on our faces. We couldn't believe Bentley was going in with us.

When we got out of the van Bentley was the first one out of the alley. I could tell he was nervous and shaking a little by the way he walked away.
