THEY were running from the men and even though there weren't any signs of them being followed, they didn't stop. Instead, they ran even faster, soon it became racing. It was free running, in which they both were good. It was filled with inviting glances at each other and cunning moves. Soon enough they even forgot that there was something more important they should have done.
They went down the street, turned left from a corner, there was a little old bookstore, and run straight toward the heart of the city. The narrow streets were almost empty, only one old lady was glamping along the pavement, Marcel only noticed her because he almost ran her over. Valentine laughed out loud and that slowed him enough for Marcel to make the distance even.
For those beautiful moments, both men forgot their past, present and reality, forgetting themselves on being like first-grade students, but everything had to come to an end. Marcel started seeing little black dots in the corner of his eyes. His hand felt numb and he was happy it didn't hurt as much as he knew it would be hurting later. Too fast the little dots were growing bigger and blocking his vision, that was the point he knew, the fun had to wait.
He was running too quickly and couldn't stop himself, he came to a sudden stop, face to face with a wall. Marcel was laughing and hyperventilating at the same time, he closed his eyes and tried to calm his heart beating in his chest. His leg felt like cotton, but he didn't give up, he was well trained.
"Hey," Valentine shouted horrified and ran towards him, he was also hyperventilating so he had to wait few moments to ask," you okay, British?"
Marcel used the wall behind him as support and turned to face the Russian with a sly smile. His eyes were closed because the black dots had taken over his vision, but he felt the sudden dizziness fading a bit. When he was, sure enough, he wasn't going to collapse, he opened his eyes and stared blankly towards Valentine. "I'm fine, thanks," he said unnoticed, decency was built inside him, it wasn't so easy to get rid of it.
Valentine smiled thoughtfully, he liked this little act of Prince's. Right then he remembered, Prince had taken the bullet for him. "No," Valentine's smile faded and he got much closer, their chests almost touched and he whispered for no reason, „Thank you."
They looked straight into each other's eyes, Marcel could have seared that Valentine wanted to say something more, but he seemed hesitant as if he wasn't sure whether it was the right time. It was awkward enough, staring into the eyes of each other. Even though Valentine didn't seem the type, the world was full of mysteries.
" We should get movin'," Marcel assumed quietly and leaned back, he still felt dizzy, maybe it was because of the blood loss. Sure as hell it was because of it. The Russian glanced at him and raised his brows. "You're bleeding," he pointed it out like it would be the biggest problem of today.
"And is that a problem for you?" Marcel asked with his smooth British accent mirroring the man's expression and raising his brows with a little smile, which he tried to pull back. "No," Valentine confirms with a careless shrug and steps back to give Marcel some space. They'd been too close for the men's who just a few moments ago met.
For a moment, Prince seems stunned because of Valentine's rudeness and the man wants to change it, even though he really doesn't care at all, but it may give him some benefits. There's a huge possibility that he just pretends with similar intentions to Valentines. Anyway, Valentine leans closer again and brushes Princes' cheek with the back of his head. "Not a problem for me, дорогой (prn: 'dorogoy'; means: 'dear')," those words come out softly and real smooth like Prince would be something really precious and easily broken.
Marcel doesn't move, now he's pretty much stunned and not pretending it anymore. He is not used to this kind of close contact, especially when it's someone like a stranger. He has had various types of partners, men and women, but never had he been touched with affection. Usually, it was just some one night stands and sex, and all of this was needed for his cover. Some of them he enjoyed a bit, but most of it was just sex and nothing really. There was only one man with whom he felt a bit different, something special, but it was in service.
The Russian hand is still on Marcel's cheeks, and with every second it gets even weirder. Instead of pulling away, he leaned closer as if he enjoys the touch, but he doesn't make a move on him, because he just jokes around with him. "Oh, no?" he pretends innocently. Valentine laughs softly, low vibrations run through Marcels' body. "Is it your way to say 'thank you' or 'get off'?" He murmurs to himself and holds his hands back, to himself, if the man doesn't want his help he can't do anything about it, he's grown up.
" 'get off' probably," Marcel offers a sincere answer and interests," why ' thank you?". "Because I've heard that the Brtish people are polite," he actually seems ashamed of bringing out that argument, but Marcel bursts into soft laughter and pulls himself away from the wall, when they want to get moving they should do it now or else they're going to be like an old couple who could to nothing more, but forget themselves to talk about the world things. "My place is nearby," he explains easily and takes himself a moment to snicker about what the Russian had said. Valentine didn't hesitate but follows.
"Tell me, did you mean 'of course, sweetheart', 'be my guest, love', 'OH, not that, pet' stuff," Marcel seems genuinely interested. Valentine just smiles and shakes his head unbelieved, how good Marcel could mock all the Britsh with those two words that he made so good sounding, exactly like them. "That I can offer, love," he teases with his smile and tone of voice, what seems like honey and strawberries, something damn sweet and heavenly good, but not exactly fit together, but it sure as hell is a genius combination.
