"S-S-Stan!!" Bill shouted, running over to Stan as he left the library.
Stan pretended he didn't hear him and continued walking.
"H-Hey!" Bill finally caught up to him.
"Hey." Stan said coldly, no longer able to pretend that Bill didn't exist.
"So, what's up?" Bill said, awkwardly.
"Just getting my textbooks for school." Stan told him.
"Ahh c-cool" Bill said.
"Look Bill, you obviously came here to say something, so just say it." Stan blurted out, the awkwardness was killing him.
"So,,,, how are th-th-things with your p-parents?" He asked, shyly, unknowing how Stan would react.
"Fucking peachy." Stan rolled his eyes.
"R-really?" Bill said, hopefully.
"No." Stan sighed. "I mean maybe?"
"Maybe?" Bill questioned.
"I mean they haven't exactly been pride parents but they have said any bigoted shit either. They've just kind of, avoided it? Like they're pretending everything's the same." Stan told a worried Bill.
"Is that a g-good thing or a bad thing?"
"With my parents?" Stan scoffed "I'm lucky I'm still in the house. What did your parents say?"
"They didn't r-r-really care. Sorry about your parents though....about th-th-th-that-" Bill started.
"Bill don't." Stan stopped him.
"You d-don't even know what I w-w-was going to say."
"You were going to apologize for outing me, than cry and make a big scene. " Stan guessed
"I w-w-wasn't going to cry-"
"Just stop. Look, I'm not mad. " Bill looked at Stan with puzzled eyes "Yes, it was kind of a dick move. But you didn't realize what you were doing. I truly believe you had good intentions. Even though, I'm not exactly pleased with you, I'm not mad either."
Stan was partially lying. He did believe Bill had no ill intentions, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. And he was still fucking mad.
"So d-d-does that mean we m-might be able to make d-dates a regular thing?" Bill smiled.
Stan looked down.
"Maybe."
