(.❛ ᴗ ❛.) [Give It To Me] Chapter One: Digging Too Deep

It was a bright day in Texas, as the sun cast over the small cafe that Scar, Ben, and Aj were sitting in. They sat outside, eating burgers and drinking coffee (except Aj, she ordered hot chocolate), just enjoying the day. Aj had called them all there because she missed hanging out with her friends and had to give them some big news.

"So...now that we've all gotten settled, I have some news!" Aj announced.

"Mmm?" Ben hummed with food in his mouth.

"I've got a story I'm following! I think this is my big shot to make it," She told the two.

"I'm so happy for you! What's it about?" Scar asked.

Aj's smile faded and she rubbed her neck, "The Korean mafia."

"WHAT?" Ben and Scar both said.

"I know, I know. I'm so close! This story's gonna be big," Aj bragged.

"Aj, that's such a dangerous thing to write about, more so investigate on!" Scar shouted.

Ben looked over at them, "It's no use, Scar. Aj will do anything for a story."

"Exactly! That and, I already have a plane trip booked to Korea......tomorrow," Aj smiled.

"T-tomorrow?" Scar said, baffled.

"Yep! That's why I wanted to meet today. To say goodbye!" Aj replied.

"Aj, are you sure this is good to do? Your life isn't worth more than a story," Scar sighed.

"I'll lose my job if I don't write about something good soon," Aj groaned, "I have to do this."

Before Scar could object, a notification went off on Ben's phone. 

"It's Jimin," Ben told them, "We're going to a museum today, so I hurried and came here to chat with you all for a bit."

"I guess that's my cue to go too, seeing as I still have some packing to do," Aj added.

"Alright, call me when you get there, Aj," Scar scolded her.

"I will, I will. Bye, you guys!" Aj shouted as she walked off.

It took nearly fifteen hours for Aj to arrive in Korea, and it was already nighttime. She went to a hotel and booked a room to get settled in for her trip. As soon as she unpacked, she called Scar to let them know she made it.

"I'm glad you made it, now you should get some rest to rid you of that jetlag," Scar advised.

"No can do," Aj objected, "I have to get a jump on this. It's my debut story. I'm so close to finding what I need."

"Aj, you need rest," Scar repeated.

Aj rolled her eyes, not visible through the phone call, and sighed, "Alright, alright. As you wish."

Scar's voice lightened up at those words, "Thanks. Text the group chat tomorrow, missing you already!"

Soon after, Aj hung up the call and grabbed her notebook. She took a pen out of her bag and went out the door. She wasn't sleeping, not yet.

She went from stop to stop, trying to get any information that she could. Either the people didn't know or they were just afraid to speak on it. Eventually, Aj came to a gas station and counted it as her last spot to investigate for the night. It wasn't as active so she decided to go in and buy a drink to cover herself.

"오늘은 그게 다야?" The cashier said.
(Is that all for today?)

"네," Aj replied
(Yep.)
