It was the end of the week. Scar and V had met up at the cafe they were in the week before. Scar was genuinely happy. Spending time with V and getting closer had been an achievement for them.
"So, where are we going today?" V asked, interrupting them from their thoughts.
"That's the thing..." Scar prepared him, "Your pick!"
"My pick?" V asked, obviously confused.
"Show me your favorite places," Scar quoted him.
V stared blankly at them, "I don't know any here."
Scar almost hit themselves in the head, "Oh, uh, it sounded better in my head."
V chuckled at that, "No worries."
"Wait! What if you showed me something you do to pass the time?" Scar suggested, "Something that relaxes you."
V went silent, slowly biting his thumb and thinking of something.

"What if we sat in a field?" V considered, "And stared at the clouds. I used to do that a lot."
Scar's face lit up at his words, "That's perfect. I know just the field, and it's almost sundown so it's perfect."
V smiled as Scar took his hand and drove him to a nearby field. They both sat in the grass, enjoying the moment before them.
"I used to do this a lot," Scar told him, "On my own time. Funny we both did it."
"So that's how you knew the location?" V realized.
"Yeah," Scar giggled, "I stopped coming here. It got lonely after a while. You took the lonely part away, you know."
As Scar said that, they turned their head to see V looking back at them.

He gave a soft smile before looking back up towards the clouds. They both didn't speak much, trying to enjoy the moment they were in.
"I've been writing," V blurted.
Scar let out a squeal of excitement, "I'm so glad!"
V was quiet again before speaking, "It's because of you, you know that right?"
