A flash of red and orange and a screech of metal pierced the silence within the room. Anger and disdain mixed with patience and boredom. The clashing figures within the room became more solid as the flashes and smoke died down. One figure – the angry one – was tall and hunched forwards, an extinguished lightsaber held tight in a leathered hand as heavy breaths shuddered its figure. Your own figure – the patient one –though significantly smaller than the other figure, stood tall, arms folded across your chest.

"Commander Ren, I'm sure you understand the details of the assignment. Next time, it would be nice if you didn't try to kill me," you spoke, your tone inciting some playful anger within the hunched one's body.

Kylo Ren, the hunched figure, chuckled at you. You weren't scared of him like the others were. It's not that you weren't afraid of at all him, it's just you were used to his sudden outbursts. Ren growled your name, the distortion of his mask swirling something inside of your stomach. "I'd advise you to speak with more kindness to your superiors."

You tilted you head up, your nose sticking high up into the air. You huffed and pouted, blinking fast at Kylo cheekily. He was quiet behind his mask, and you couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. You dropped your shoulders with a sigh.

"I'll inform General Hux of your acknowledgment of this assignment. I'll leave out the fit," you said with a grin before strutting out of the room.

You turned back to look at Ren who was still huffing in his hunched position as you stood in the door frame. You let out a soft sigh before walking down the hallway towards Hux's office. You were Hux's assistant. You basically went around the Starkiller base doing the work he didn't want to do and reminding him to take his daily pills. One man of his position cannot simply do everything requested, that's where you came in.

You knocked on the frame of Hux's open office door before going in. He didn't look up from his writing, not even to see who it was. Maybe he just knew it was you. You walked over to his desk and frowned as you noticed the tray still full of his daily pills. You pushed them towards him, tapping the table text to it.

"You have to take these," you said with authority.

Hux growled. "I don't have time."

"I want these to be taken by the time I'm finished reporting back to you," you said with a shrug, folding your arms across your chest.

In a blur, Hux pulled his head back and swallowed the tray of pills. You smiled sweetly as the tray dropped back into its spot, empty.

"The report?" Hux asked.

"Oh yes," you started, "Commander Ren approved the trip tomorrow and is aware of the objective. I'm sure Supreme Leader Snoke would be glad to hear it."

"Good... I will need you to go on the mission for me."

You growled in annoyance, receiving a raised eyebrow from Hux. You pulled herself together and straightened your posture. Sometimes you gets too comfortable, forgetting that Hux is far more superior than you were.

"Sorry, sir. I'm attempting to lose the attitude. I promise," you responded.

Hux nodded just the once. You brushed a straying piece of hair behind your ear that struck annoyance to you. You were stuck on what to say. You could feel a slight amount of tension in the air. Hux and Ren were right, you needed to pull your act together. You'd gotten too comfortable and you were letting it get in the way of your professionalism. It was stupid.

"I'll get to the rest of my duties; did you want me to come back to report tonight?" you asked shyly.

"No," Hux replied bluntly, "just see me tomorrow at 0800 hours so I can give you your agenda for a 0900 lift off in the command ship."
